| Objective:Based on the theory of " One Qi Circulation ",the clinical effect of modified Qiju Dihuang Decoction on the headache caused by Yin deficiency and Yang hyperactivity was studied, which opened up a new direction for the treatment of this disease. Methods: From February 2021 to August 2022,seventy female patients with Yin deficiency and Yang hyperactivity were randomly assigned to one of two groups: control or experimental. The experimental group had 35 cases and the control group had 35 cases. The control group only took ibuprofen sustained-release capsules(Fenbide),while the experimental group modified Qiju Dihuang Decoction. The duration of treatment in this study was set at one month. The total headache score,VAS score,TCM clinical syndrome score, and serum estrogen level in the two groups were compared and analyzed after three courses of treatment. Results:The control group and the test group each shed 1 case,a total of 68 completed cases.1.Before treatment, there were no statistical differences in total headache score,VAS score,TCM clinical syndrome score and serum estrogen level during menstruation between the two groups(P>0.05),which could be compared.2.After treatment, the total effective rates of headache in control group and experimental group were 67.65% and 94.12%,and the total effective rates of VAS pain were 55.88% and 94.12%,respectively,with statistical significance between the two groups(P<0.05),and the total headache score and pain score in both groups decreased(P<0.05).The experimental group’s decrease was more noticeable, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The control and experimental groups’ total effective rates of TCM syndrome efficacy were 61.76% and 94.12%,respectively,with statistical significance between the two groups(P<0.05).In terms of TCM syndrome scores, the experimental group performed statistically significantly better than the control group in all aspects of improving TCM syndromes(P<0.05).Serum E2 levels increased in both groups, with the experimental group showing a greater increase. There were statistically significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05).3.Long-term efficacy follow-up: the recurrence rate between the trial group and the control group was 12.5% and 71.4%,respectively,and significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:For Yin deficiency and Yang hyperactivity type of patients with menstrual headache, the clinical application of modified Qi Ju Dihuang Decoction can achieve good curative effect, which can significantly improve the degree of headache, the number of attacks,TCM syndromes, reduce VAS score, and increase E2 level, effectively relieve headache symptoms, improve the cure rate, and provide new ideas and methods for the treatment of menstrual headache. |
