Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Acute Suppurative Tonsillitis In Children By The Method Of Clearing Heat And Removing Dampness

ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy and safety of self-made Jiedu Liyan Decoction in the adjuvant treatment of children with acute suppurative tonsillitis of damp-heat intrinsic type,and to provide a basis for the clinical use of clearing heat and detoxifying ascending and descending method in the treatment of children with acute suppurative tonsillitis of damp-heat intrinsic type.Methods64 children who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups,32 cases in each group.On the basis of routine anti-infection treatment,the treatment group was given self-made Jiedu Liyan Decoction(Huangqin 15 g,Yinchen 20 g,Zhizi 6 g,Huoxiang 15 g,Shichangpu 20 g,Doukou 10 g,Xiakucao 15 g,Pugongying 20 g,Jinyinhua 15 g,Lianqiao 6 g,Jianghuang 6 g,Jiangcan 6 g,Chantui 6 g,Shengdahuang 3g)orally,and the control group was given Pudilan Xiaoyan Oral Liquid orally.Both groups were treated for 7 days.The symptom scores,laboratory test results,antipyretic time and adverse reactions of the two groups of children before and after treatment were observed and recorded,and the recorded data were statistically analyzed by SPSS25.0software.According to the analysis results,the clinical efficacy of Jiedu Liyan Decoction was comprehensively evaluated.Result1.Clinical efficacy : In the treatment group,9 cases were cured,14 cases were markedly effective,5 cases were effective,and 2 cases were ineffective.In the control group,4 cases were cured,9 cases were markedly effective,11 cases were effective,and 5cases were ineffective.The effective rate of the control group was 44.83 %,and the effective rate was 82.76 %.The curative effect of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group(P < 0.05),suggesting that the total curative effect of Jiedu Liyan Decoction in the treatment of children with acute suppurative tonsillitis of damp-heat intrinsic type was significantly better than that of Pudilan Xiaoyan Oral Liquid;2.Complete antipyretic time : The treatment group was significantly better than the control group in shortening the antipyretic time(P < 0.05),suggesting that Jiedu Liyan Decoction can accelerate the antipyretic of children with acute suppurative tonsillitis of damp-heat intrinsic type;3.Comparison of symptom scores within the group : After treatment,the total score of symptoms,the total score of main symptoms,the total score of secondary symptoms,and the score of individual symptoms in the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment(P < 0.05),indicating that after treatment,the symptoms of the treatment group and the control group were significantly improved compared with those before treatment,suggesting that both groups had therapeutic effects on acute suppurative tonsillitis.4.Comparison of symptom scores between groups : After treatment,the treatment group was superior to the control group in terms of tonsil abscess,tonsil enlargement,fever,anorexia,halitosis,and abnormal stool,with significant differences(P0.05),suggesting that Jiedu Liyan Decoction was superior to Pudilan Xiaoyan Oral Liquid in relieving tonsil abscess,tonsil enlargement,fever,anorexia,halitosis,and abnormal stool.5.Laboratory examination : the two groups of treatment can reduce WBC,N %,CRP,the two groups of treatment in reducing WBC,N %,CRP curative effect(P > 0.05),suggesting that the self-made Jiedu Liyan Decoction and Pudilan Xiaoyan Oral Liquid have the same effect on laboratory examination indexes;6.There were no adverse reactions in the treatment group and the control group.ConclusionSelf-made Jiedu Liyan Decoction in the adjuvant treatment of acute suppurative tonsillitis of damp-heat intrinsic type can effectively shorten the antipyretic time,improve the clinical symptoms,relieve the pain of children more quickly,be easily accepted by parents,and have no adverse reactions.It is suggested that the method of clearing heat and removing dampness is effective in the treatment of children with acute suppurative tonsillitis of damp-heat intrinsic type,which is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
