Investigation On Perimenopausal Period Of Women Aged 40-60 Years In Tianhe District Of Guangzhou And Analysis Of Related Influencing Factors

Objective To understand the symptoms of peri-menopausal women aged 40-60 years in Tianhe District of Guangzhou,and to explore the effects of age,educational level,obesity,exercise,past medical history,fertility on perimenopausal symptoms.To provide the basis for the prevention and treatment of perimenopausal syndrome.Method The subjects were women aged 40-60 years who were visited in the gynecology and obstetrics clinic and ward of the third affiliated Hospital of Southern Medical University from June 2022 to December 2022.The survey included age,menopause,educational level,obesity,exercise,past medical history,fertility circumstance and so on The modified Kupperman score which included hot flushes and sweats,paresthesia(cold,hot,pain,numbness),insomnia,tension,depression or suspicion,vertigo,fatigue,bone and joint pain or muscle pain,headache,palpitation,skin ant sensation,sex life,urinary tract infection,was used to evaluate the incidence of perimenopausal symptoms;and self-rating depression scale(SDS)as well as self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)was used to evaluate the incidence of depression and anxiety.Result 1.According to the survey of 791 women,the age of natural menopause was 49.10±3.44 years old.99.62%of the women had one or more perimenopausal related symptoms,the mean score of modified Kupperman score was 13.70±7.52,and 83.1%of the perimenopausal women had mild or more symptoms.The highest incidence of symptoms were insomnia,fatigue,abnormal sexual life,irritability,depression or suspicion,bone and joint pain or muscle pain;2.Age,educational level,hyperlipidemia,diabetes,hypertension,cesarean and contraceptive methods are related to the incidence of female perimenopausal symptoms(P<0.05),among which age is the independent influencing factor of female perimenopausal symptoms(P<0.05,OR>1),however there was no significant difference in obesity,exercise,hysteromyoma,ovarian benign tumor,reproductive history among female perimenopausal scores(P>0.05);3.In this survey,1.01%of women were depressed and 3.54%were anxious,and the improved Kupperman score of women with depression and anxiety was significantly higher than other women in the survey.Conclusion The incidence of female perimenopausal symptoms in this survey is high,and most of them belong to mild to moderate symptoms.With the increase of age,women’s perimenopausal symptoms tend to worsen.The perimenopau symptoms of women with the low educational level,hyperlipidemia,hypertension,diabetes,no history of cesarean and non-contraception are more serious than other women.And the whole society should strengthen the education of women’s perimenopausal knowledge and pay attention to women’s psychological counseling as well as protecting women’s mental health.
