| OBJECTIVETo establish the index system of the competence of nursing staff in tertiary general hospitals to respond to emerging infectious diseases, and clarify the competence and quality of clinical nurses and nursing managers in tertiary general hospitals to respond to emerging infectious diseases. To explore the applicability of the index system of nursing staffs competence to respond to emerging infectious diseases in tertiary general hospitals, provide reference for training of nursing staff s competence to respond to emerging infectious diseases and selecting nursing talents.CONTENTS AND METHODSThrough literature analysis, based on theories such as the crisis life cycle theory, and combining semi-structured interviews, questionnaires and Brainstorming,to investigate and analyze the competence needs of nursing staff in tertiary general hospitals to respond to emerging infectious diseases,to integrate and compile the competence element of nursing staff to respond to emerging infectious diseases, and to complete the framework of competence index system.Delphi expert consultation method is used to calculate the results of the evaluation of the importance of the indexes, and to screen the items by reference to the expert opinions.the analytic hierarchy process and the average distribution method is used to determine the competence index system of the first, second, third level index weight, complete the ability index system construction.3.Using convenient sampling method,a questionnaire survey was conducted among 402 clinical nurses and 360 clinical nursing managers in tertiary general hospitals,by calculating item discrimination degree,Cronbach’s α coefficient, item and scale level’s content validity index, and structure validity of index system, the test of the competence index system was completed.RESULTSThe index system of nursing staffs competence to respond to emerging infectious diseases in tertiary general hospitals was constructed, including three firstlevel indicators, prevention preparedness, rescue response, recovery and reconstruction, and 21 second-level indicators, including clear roles and responsibilities, preparation of protection and treatment resources, infection prevention and control, epidemiological information collection and tracking, physical and mental health repair, and optimization of nursing resources. And 67 clinical nurses and 69 clinical nursing managers to respond to emerging infectious disease of tertiary competence indicators. In the two rounds of expert consultation, the positive coefficient of experts is 90%and 100%respectively,and the authoritative coefficient of experts is 0.90 and 0.89 respectively, the coordination coefficients of clinical nurses and clinical nursing managers were 0.338,0.112 and 0.402,0.115,respectively,with significant difference(p<0.01).The weight range of the two-level indexes was 0.039~0.393,and that of the three-level indexes was 0.032~0.380.The CR of First and second grade indexes was less than 0.1.A total of 762 questionnaires were collected in the verification phase of the competence index system.Among them,402 were clinical nurses,360 were clinical nursing managers, the Cronbach’s a coefficients were 0.985 and 0.982,respectively.The variance contribution rates of clinical nurses and clinical nursing managers were 59.636%and 54.917%respectively by exploratory factor analysis.CONCLUSIONThe index system of nursing staff’s competence to respond to emerging infectious diseases in tertiary general hospitals was constructed, and the competence index of clinical nurses and clinical nursing managers to respond to emerging infectious diseases was defined. After testing, the index system has good reliability and validity, which can provide reference for the improvement of nursing staff competence training projects and nursing response work programs in tertiary general hospitals, and help to improve the overall nursing response ability of tertiary general hospitals for emerging infectious diseases. |
