Objective:To study the effect of acupuncture of Neiguan(PC6)on the dose of analgesics during radiofrequency ablation of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation,to assess the analgesic effect of acupuncture, and to observe its efficacy in alleviating adverse effects and its safety. Methods:Sixty patients undergoing radiofrequency ablation of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation were divided into the observation group and the control group. The control group used the conventional dose of morphine hydrochloride intraoperatively for analgesia, while the observation group applied the Qilu dragon-tiger fighting needling method at Neiguan(PC6)combined with half dose of morphine hydrochloride for analgesia. The dose of morphine hydrochloride was increased in both groups according to the patients’ pain status. The dose of morphine hydrochloride, analgesic effect, degree of nausea and anxiety and depression were compared between the two groups, and their safety was evaluated.Results:1.The difference in morphine hydrochloride dosage between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.The difference in pain VAS scores between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).3.The difference in nausea numerical scores between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05)at intraoperative,6h postoperative and 24h postoperative, and not statistically significant(P>0.05)at 48h postoperative.4.There was no statistically significant difference between postoperative anxiety scores, depression scores and total scores of patients(P>0.05).5.No adverse events occurred during the treatment period. Conclusion:Acupuncture at Neiguan(PC6)can reduce the dose of analgesics while maintaining the analgesic effect, and relieve intraoperative and postoperative nausea, and can be safely used in clinical practice, but does not significantly improve anxiety and depression. |
