| Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Renmai moxibustion combined with acupuncture in the treatment of post-stroke insomnia(PSI)in terms of sleep quality, life quality, and fatigue status. And to provide an appropriate technique for the treatment of PSI in Chinese medicine rehabilitation suitable for application and promotion. Methods: Seventy-five subjects with PSI who met the inclusion criteria were divided into three groups according to the random number table method: a Renmai moxibustion group,an acupuncture group, and a Renmai moxibustion combined with acupuncture group. Each group has 25 cases. All three groups were treated based on conventional rehabilitation therapy, with the Renmai moxibustion group treated with Renmai moxibustion, the acupuncture group treated with acupuncture, and the combined method group treated with Renmai moxibustion combined with acupuncture.Treatments three times a week, every two weeks as a course of treatment. All three groups took two courses of treatment, for a total of four weeks. The general data of the three groups were observed and recorded,as well as the differences in the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),the scores of the StrokeSpecific Quality of Life Scale(SS-QOL)and Fatigue Severity Scale(FSS),and the efficacy of insomnia before and after treatment. The observed indexes were statistically processed to compare the differences in sleep quality, life quality, and fatigue status of the three groups before and after treatment,in order to clarify the clinical efficacy in treating PSI.Results: A total of 75 subjects were included in this clinical trial.Except for one case that failed to complete the treatment in the Renmai moxibustion group due to the subject’s personal reasons, all the subjects in the remaining two groups successfully completed this treatment. Before treatment, the general information,PSQI score,SS-QOL score and FSS score of the subjects in the three groups were compared, and the differences were not statistically significant(P > 0.05),indicating that the indexes were comparable. After two courses of treatment, the PSQI score and FSS score of patients in the three groups were lower than before treatment, and the SS-QOL score was higher than before treatment, and the comparison result of the indices before and after treatment,or between the three groups were statistically significant(P < 0.05),and the improvement of the indices in the group of combined treatment method was better than that in each of the single treatment method groups(P < 0.05),and its effective rate was also higher than that in the other two groups(P < 0.05).Conclusion:1.The present clinical trial found that the Renmai moxibustion group, the acupuncture group, and the Renmai moxibustion combined with acupuncture group were all effective in improving the symptoms of PSI,reducing the subjects’ PSQI scores and improving their sleep quality, with the Renmai moxibustion combined with acupuncture group having more significant efficacy among the three groups.2.The combination of Renmai moxibustion and acupuncture therapy can improve the quality of sleep of PSI patients while improving the SS-QOL score and reducing the FSS score, which has positive effects on reducing physical fatigue and improving the life quality of the patients.3.The Renmai moxibustion combined with acupuncture in the treatment of PSI is effective and suitable for clinical application and promotion, and it is worthwhile to explore its mechanism in depth in the future. |
