Objective:to compare the clinical efficacy of two different moxibustion methods, abdominal drug separated(experiential medication)cross moxibustion and abdominal starch separated cross moxibustion,in the treatment of moderate to mild depression of the heart and spleen deficiency type.To compare the differences in improving the patient’s condition between the two moxibustion methods, provide a new plan for the treatment of depression, and explore the internal mechanism of abdominal cross moxibustion in the treatment of depression of the heart and spleen deficiency type.Methods:60 patients with moderate to mild depression of heart and spleen deficiency type who visited Taoyuan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital and Ren’ai Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic from December 2020 to December 2021 were selected as the research subjects. The study subjects were divided into a treatment group and a control group using a random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with abdominal cross moxibustion separated by medication, while the control group was treated with abdominal cross moxibustion separated by starch. After 6 weeks of treatment, compare the improvement of Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD-24)scores and total points of traditional Chinese medicine symptoms between the two groups before and after treatment, and evaluate the clinical efficacy of the two groups.Results:(1)Intragroup comparison showed that there was a statistical difference(P<0.05)between the two groups in the total HAMD-24 score and various factor scores,as well as the total score of traditional Chinese medicine symptoms after treatment compared to before treatment. Both groups had lower total HAMD-24 score and various factor scores,as well as the total score of traditional Chinese medicine symptoms after treatment compared to before treatment. The inter group comparison showed that there was a statistical difference(P<0.05)in the total HAMD-24 score, anxiety factor, cognitive impairment factor, block factor score, and total score of traditional Chinese medicine symptoms between the treatment group and the control group after treatment. All of the differences were due to the lower total HAMD-24 score, anxiety factor, cognitive impairment factor, block factor score, and total score of traditional Chinese medicine symptoms in the treatment group compared to the control group.(2)Comparison of therapeutic effects:The effective rate of the treatment group was 93.33%,while the effective rate of the control group was 70.00%.The effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:abdominal drug separated cross moxibustion can significantly improve the depressive symptoms of patients with moderate to mild depression of both heart and spleen deficiency type, and is more effective in improving anxiety, cognitive ability, and excitement and depression compared to abdominal starch separated cross moxibustion.
