Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of dynamic moxibustion combined with acupuncture in the treatment of functional dyspepsia(FD)of deficiency of spleen and stomach. Methods:A total of 68 patients were randomly divided into observation group(34 cases)and control group(34 cases). The observation group was treated with dynamic moxibustion combined with acupuncture, while the control group was treated with acupuncture alone, both of which were treated six times a week for one course. The acupuncture treatment in both groups were in complete agreement. Before and after 4 courses treatment,TCM syndromes score and Nipin dyspepsia quality of life index(NDLQI)were used to judge the improvement in symptoms and quality of life.Results:1.Comparison within groups:the total and individual TCM syndromes scores and NDLQI of both groups were significantly different before and after treatment(P<0.05).Comparison between groups:After treatment, the total TCM syndromes score and the individual TCM syndrome scores of epigastric pain, distention and fullness, warm and press preference, lack of appetite and mental fatigue of the observation group were significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05),and the NDLQI of the observation group were significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).2.Total effective rate:After treatment, the total effective rate of the observation group was 91.8%,which was higher than that of the control group(82.35%)(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.For patients with FD,both treatments can improve symptoms and the quality of life.2.The clinical efficacy of dynamic moxibustion combined with acupuncture in treating FD of deficiency of spleen and stomach is better than that of acupuncture alone.
