Objective: The epidemiological survey of premenstrual syndrome(PMS)among female college students in Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was conducted to investigate the current status of PMS and its influencing factors in female college students in Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,and to provide a reference basis for the development of female reproductive health education and effective prevention and treatment of PMS in order to better promote the physical and mental health of female college students.The study also performed Yi Jin Jing intervention treatment on female college students with PMS of liver depression and qi stagnation who met the inclusion criteria,and observed the improvement of Yi Jin Jing on the symptoms of PMS in female college students to provide new ideas and reference for clinical treatment of PMS.Methods: A total of 672 questionnaires were distributed and 647 valid questionnaires were collected.The data were statistically analyzed by using SPSS25.0 statistical software.In addition,a total of 52 cases were selected from the female university students who participated in the questionnaire survey and met the inclusion criteria,and were divided into the experimental group and the control group according to the random number table method,with26 cases in each group.The TCM syndrome score,HAMD score and HAMA score of the two groups before and after treatment were compared to evaluate their efficacy.Results:1.Among 647 female college students who participated in the questionnaire survey,349 had PMS,and the prevalence of PMS was 53.9%.The symptoms were more prominent in irritability,anxiety,depression,inattention,breast swelling or tenderness,and abdominal distension or diarrhea,and the overall incidence of mental symptoms was higher than that of physical symptoms,of which 6.0% of female students indicated that PMS had seriously affected their life,study and The prevalence of mental symptoms was higher than that of physical symptoms.the survey found that female college students lack knowledge about PMS,38.7% of them choose not to deal with premenstrual discomfort,and only 11.7% of them choose to seek medical treatment for PMS.Analysis of the factors influencing PMS showed that BMI,whether or not they experienced trauma,personality,emotional state,academic stress,peer relationships,dietary habits,sleep habits,exercise habits,history of alcohol consumption,age at menarche,menstrual period,menstrual volume,menstrual quality,whether or not they have dysmenorrhea,and menstrual attitude were correlated with the occurrence of PMS;grade,family situation(whether or not they were only children,family structure and family relationships),and smoking history were not correlated with the occurrence of PMS.2.After 3 menstrual cycles of treatment,the TCM syndrome score,HAMD score and HAMA score of patients in the test and control groups were significantly lower than those before treatment,with statistically significant differences(P<0.01);comparing the two groups after treatment,patients in the test group had lower TCM syndrome scores,HAMD scores and HAMA scores than the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.01);In terms of total efficacy,the total effective rate was 92.3% in the test group and 69.2% in the control group,with statistically differences(P<0.05).Conclusion: The incidence of PMS among female college students in Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is high and has become a more common health problem among female college students;BMI,whether or not to experience trauma,personality,emotional state,study pressure,classmate relationship,eating habits,sleeping habits,exercise habits,history of alcohol consumption,age of menarche,menstrual period,menstrual quantity,menstrual quality,dysmenorrhea,and menstrual attitude are the influencing factors of PMS;the treatment of Yi Jin Jing combined with Xiao Yao Wan and only treat with Xiao Yao Wan both had good therapeutic effects on liver-depression and qi-stagnation type PMS,but the former was significantly better than the latter in terms of improvement of TCM symptoms,premenstrual depression and anxiety status.
