Observation On The Curative Effect Of Jiawei Zhisuo Powder On Upper Airway Cough Syndrome(Wind-phlegm Type) In Children

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of Jiawei Zhisuo Powder in treating children with upper airway cough syndrome(wind-phlegm type).Methods The 70 children aged 3-14 years old diagnosed with upper airway cough syndrome(wind-phlegm type)admitted to the pediatric outpatient.Department of pediatrics,Jinhua Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine from September 2021 to September 2022 were collected and divided into control group(35 cases)and treatment group(35 cases)according to random number table method.The control group was treated with Momasone furoate nasal spray in the morning,once a day.For children with severe nasal congestion symptoms,physiological seawater nasal spray should be added,twice a day;for children with obvious purulent nasal discharge,amoxicillin potassium clavulanate dry suspension should be added,twice a day.The treatment group was additionally given Jiawei Zhisu SAN granules orally,twice a day,soak in boiling water and take it after warm and cool.Both groups were treated for 2 weeks and followed up for 4 weeks.The clinical response rate,severity of cough(VAS score),duration of cough symptom relief,TCM syndrome score,recurrence rate and safety were compared between the two groups.Results 1.Clinical effective rate:The overall effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group(94.29%vs.77.14%,P<0.05);2.TCM syndromes:TCM syndromes scores of cough,phlegm,nasal congestion,runny nose,nasal itching,sneezing,throat clearing,pharyngeal signs in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);3.Improvement of cough severity:VAS score of treatment group was lower than control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);4.Cough improvement time:the remission time and disappearance time of cough symptoms in the treatment group were shorter than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);5.Recurrence assessment:The recurrence rate in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(0%vs.14.8%,P<0.05).Conclusions Modified Zhisu powder assisted Western medicine in the treatment of children with upper airway cough syndrome(wind-phlegm type)has remarkable efficacy,improving cough,phlegm,nasal congestion,runny nose,sneezing,throat itching,throat clearing,pharyngeal signs and other symptoms,reducing the degree of cough,significantly shortening the course of influenza and reducing the recurrence of the disease,and is superior to conventional Western medicine treatment,drug safety is high,and has high clinical application value.
