Li Dongyuan’s Theory Of "Yin Fire" And Its Application To The Differentiation And Treatment Of Modern Diabetes

Objective This paper systematically combs the academic thought of Li Dongyuan’s theory of yin fire,and summarizes the characteristics of its clinical application in diabetes mellitus.This paper reveals the structure and vein of Yin-fire theory,the research status of this field and the development process of clinical application.At the same time,it analyzes and discusses the distribution of syndrome types of Li Dongyuan’s theory of yin fire in the treatment of diabetes and the rules of prescribing medication,summarizes the experience of administering drugs and discusses the clinical application of new prescription of yin fire theory to diabetes.Methods 1.Based on the traditional literature research method,the origin and specific meaning of the "Yin fire" theory are sorted out.By referring to Li Dongyuan’s works,it is found that the main objects are the Yellow Emperor’s Internal Classic(Huáng Di Nèi Jīng),the Classic of Difficulties lssues(Nàn Jīng),Treatise on Cold Damage(Shāng Hán Lùn),and Explanation of Mysterious Pathogeneses and Etiologies Based on the ’Basic Questions ’(SùWen Xuān Jí Yuán Bing Shì).2.Systematically studied Li Dongyuan’s works by means of sorting and induction,and summarized the representative treatment methods and recipes for"Yin fire" in his works;3.Based on the data analysis method,the modern medical cases of diabetes treated with "Yin and fire" were selected from China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),TCM ancient literature database,Readshow,and Sinomed as the main research objects,and the syndrome types and medication rules of diabetes treated with "Yin and fire" were analyzed.4.Summary and analysis method systematically summarized the inheritance and innovation of diabetes differentiation and treatment under the yin-fire theory.Results Based on the literature analysis and understanding of Li Dongyuan’s personal academic thought,combined with the etiology and pathogenesis,it can be seen that "Yin fire"is the internal and external factors leading to the deficiency of spleen and stomach qi,and the depression of middle qi.If the water is wet and the valley qi is flowing down the liver and kidney,and the Yin fire is influenced by the soil position,the "phase fire" of "lower jiao envelopment fire" will be formed.If clear yang failing to ascend,the heart and lung can not be nourished,qi and blood are not prosperous,the blood contains fire,suffering Yin and blood,forming the heart is not the main order,and the "heart fire" is replaced by the fire.For the"Fire and vitality are opposites" concept.Based on Statistics and analysis of the symptoms,summarized syndrome types and prescription drugs in the literature,and 138 prescriptions and 162 Chinese medicines were included.1.Among the 138 prescriptions,there were 193 symptoms,among which 34 were high-frequency symptoms,with the most fatigue,and finally summarized 5 syndrome types.2.Among the 162 Chinese medicines,the frequency of medication was 1482 times,among which the high frequency drugs were 21,with astragalus the most.3.There are 17 kinds of drugs,including the categories of supplementing deficiency,relieving table,heat clearing heat,promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis.The frequency reaches more than 100 times,accounting for 66.68%of the total frequency.4.Four gas is mainly warm,cold and flat,the frequency of more than 200 times.In particular,the frequency of warm drugs reached 46.45%.The Five flavors are mainly sweet,bitter and spicy,with a frequency of more than 500 times.Among them,the frequency of sweet medicine reached 40.89%.The distribution of the spleen meridian,followed by lung,liver,stomach meridian.5.Conduct high-frequency drug combination association analysis,and the higher associations were Radix Astragali,Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae,Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae,Rhizoma Cimicifugae,Radix Angelicae Sinensis,Radix Bupleuri,Radix Codonopsis and Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae.6.The 34 high-frequency core entries were clustered and classified into five categories.(1)Radix Ophiopogonis,Fructus Schisandrae Chinensis,Radix Puerariae Lobatae,Cortex Phellodendri Chinensis,Rhizoma Atractylodis,Rhizoma Atractylodis,Radix Scutellariae,Gypsum Fibrosum,Rhizoma Coptidis,Radix Rehmanniae Recens,Radix Trichosanthis,Radix Trichosanthis,Radix Pseudostellariae.(2)Poria,Rhizoma Dioscoreae,Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae,Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae,Radix Codonopsis,Radix Bupleuri,Rhizoma Cimicifugae,Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae.(3)Rhizoma et Radix Notopterygii,Radix Angelicae Pubescentis,Radix Saposhnikoviae,Rhizoma Pinelliae,Radix Paeoniae Alba,Caulis Spatholobi,Radix et Rhizoma Ginseng.(4)Rhizoma Chuanxiong,Radix et Rhizoma Notoginseng,Radix et Rhizoma Salviae Miltiorrhizae,Hirudo.(5)Radix Astragali,Radix Angelicae Sinensis.And(1),(2)and(3)into new combination Ⅰ,(4)and(5)into new combination Ⅱ.7.Combined with the above syndrome type,draw into the "syndrome-disease-drug" association analysis table.The higher the support and confidence degree,the higher the credibility of the association analysis,the greater the significance.Finally,based on the theory of "Yin fire",the etiology and pathogenesis of diabetes mellitus and " syndrome-disease-drug " were analyzed.Conclusion This study with " Yin fire " theory,understand the whole huge spleen and stomach system,mainly discusses the representative of Yin fire prescriptions,and according to the understanding of the theory of " Yin fire " to the prescription classification,and from the disease,syndrome,drug distribution and use characteristics better reflect the various prescriptions,to certificate,medicine,further analyze the " Yin fire " theory of diabetes medication system.
