Objective:This study mainly discusses whether there is a correlation between nutritional status and brittle fracture risk score(FRAX)in the elderly in Xining area,in order to reduce the risk of brittle fracture in the elderly through nutritional support therapy. Methods: A total of 182 elderly patients in Xining area who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were selected to collect general information, laboratory data and imaging data. The nutritional status was evaluated by MNA-SF,and the nutritional status was divided into malnutrition group(0 ~ 7 points).Malnutrition risk group(8 to 11 points); In the normal nutrition group(12-14 points),FRAX was used to assess the risk of fracture in the elderly, and PMOF and PHF were obtained. The differences among the three groups were compared respectively; Then, the influencing factors of malnutrition in the elderly were studied; Finally, the correlation between nutrition score and PMOF and PHF was compared.SPSS 25.0 was used for statistical software.Results:1.Among 182 elderly people, age ranged from 60 to 89,with an average age of 71.55±5.93 years old,61 were selected as malnutrition,60 were at risk of malnutrition, and 61 were normal nutrition.2.Comparison of general data, laboratory and imaging data: there were statistically significant differences in age, weight,BMI,smoking history, drinking history, parents’ history of hip fracture,DBP,DLDL,PMOF,PHF and T value of femoral neck(P<0.05).3.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis: decreased BMI(P=0.022,OR=0.417,95%CI: 0.197-0.884),long-term smoking history(P=0.044,OR=5.141,95%CI: 0.485-54.456)these two factors can affect the occurrence of malnutrition in the elderly as independent factors.4.Correlation analysis of nutritional status score with PMOF,PHF and other indicators:Nutritional status score was negatively correlated with PMOF,PHF and Age,and positively correlated with BMI,T value of femoral neck,DLDL and FBG.Conclusion: 1.According to the preliminary screening results of MNA-SF,it can be seen that the elderly with nutritional problems are relatively common. The elderly with malnutrition risk account for 32.9% and those with malnutrition account for 33.5% in Xining area.2.Reduced BMI and long-term smoking history were independent risk factors for malnutrition in the elderly;3.The nutritional status of the elderly is closely related to PMOF,PHF,Age,BMI,T value of femoral neck,DLDL and FBG. |
