| Object:To explore and study the imaging features of high-density pituitary Rathke’s cleft cyst with CT,so as to improve the clinical understanding and diagnostic level of this kind of disease and reduce misdiagnosis and mistreatment. Methods:A retrospective analysis was made of 186 cases of pituitary Rathke’s cleft cyst surgery from January 2013 to January 2018,including 40 cases of CT high-density pituitary Rathke’s cleft cysts,146 cases of CT non-high-density pituitary Rathke’s cleft cysts, and 45 cases of CT non-high-density pituitary Rathke’s cleft cysts as controls. The patients were divided into CT high-density pituitary Rathke’s cleft cyst group and CT non-high-density pituitary Rathke’s cleft cyst group, and the imaging characteristics of CT high-density pituitary Rathke’s cleft cyst were discussed by comparing the imaging differences between the two groups. Results:The average density of CT high-density pituitary Rathke’s cleft cyst group was65.33±1.57 HU,and the average density of CT non-high-density pituitary Rathke’s cleft cyst was 20.69±1.80 HU.The CT high-density pituitary Rathke’s cleft cyst group was significantly different from the CT non-high-density pituitary Rathke’s cleft cyst group in terms of cyst location,MRI-T1 signaling and the probability of protein bodies, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The suprasellar type of CT high-density pituitary Rathke’s cleft cyst group accounted for 20%,while the CT non-high-density pituitary Rathke’s cleft cyst group did not find suprasellar type, and the difference was significant(P<0.05);MRI-T1 equal and high signals in CT high-density pituitary Rathke’s cleft cyst group accounted for 93%,while MRI-T1 equal and high signals in CT non-dense pituitary Rathke’s cleft cyst group accounted for 27%,with significant differences(P<0.05);The percentage of protein bodies in CT high-density pituitary Rathke’s cleft cyst group was22.5%,while that in CT non-high density pituitary Rathke cyst group was 4.4%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.CT high-density pituitary Rathke’s cleft cyst is a special type of pituitary Rathke’s cleft cyst, which is rare in clinic.2.The suprasellar pituitary stalk is the specific site of CT high-density pituitary Rathke’s cleft cyst, although these cysts can also occur in the Sella, suggesting a more diverse origin.3.MRI signal of CT high-density pituitary Rathke’s cleft cyst is variable, and equal and high signals on T1 phase are more common.4.The incidence of CT high-density pituitary Rathke’s cleft cyst protein bodies is significantly increased, suggesting that protein bodies have important diagnostic significance in CT high-density pituitary Rathke cysts. |
