Clinical Observation Of Banxia Xiexin Decoction Combined With Intense Pulsed Light In The Treatment Of Rosacea Of Upper Heat And Lower Cold Type

Objective :To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Banxia Xiexin Decoction combined with intense pulsed light in the treatment of rosacea of upper heat and lower cold type.Methods :In this study,80 patients with standard rosacea were randomly assigned to the treatment group and control group,of which there were 40 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Banxia Xiexin Decoction,one dose a day,morning and evening warm drinking,and the treatment group was treated with intense pulsed light on the basis of the control group,once every 3 weeks.The course of treatment for the two groups was 9 weeks.To assess efficacy,subjective symptom scores,skin lesions,and DLQI were recorded before treatment,3 weeks,6 weeks,and 9 weeks after treatment.At the same time,side effects were observed during treatment.Using SPSS26.0 software for statistical analysis of each observation index.Results :1.Research completion: 73 Patients completed this study,including 38 in the treatment group and 35 in the control group.2.Efficacy evaluation(1)Subjective symptom score: Compared with before treatment,the subjective symptom scores of the two groups were statistically different at 3,6 and 9 weeks after treatment(P<0.05).The absence of statistical differences in subjective symptom ratings for 3weekends,6 weekends and 9 treatment weekends(P>0.05),means that there is no significant difference in subjective symptom improvement situations in the two groups.(2)Skin lesion score: The skin lesion scores of the two groups at the Treatment 3weeks,6 weeks,9 weeks were significantly different from those before treatment(P<0.05).At the end of the third week of treatment,there was no significant difference between the two groups in skin lesion outcomes(P>0.05),which may be due to the short duration of treatment.At the end of the 6 and 9 weeks of treatment,the results of skin lesions between the two groups were statistically different(P<0.05),indicating that the improvement of skin lesion symptoms was significantly different between the two groups after 6 and 9 weeks of treatment.(3)Comparison of DLQI scores: The DLQI scores of the two groups at the Treatment 3weeks,6 weeks,9 weeks were significantly different from those before treatment(P<0.05).The DLQI ratings for third week of treatment in the two groups showed no statistical difference(P>0.05).There were significant differences in DLQI scores between the two groups at the end of 6 weeks and 9 weeks of treatment(P<0.05),indicating that there were significant differences in the improvement of quality of life between the two groups after 6weeks and 9 weeks of treatment.(4)Comparison of effective rate: After 9 weeks of treatment,the overall efficiency of the treatment group was 97.37% and the overall efficiency of the control team was 85.71%,with a relatively significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).It shows that the effect of Banxia Xiexin Decoction combined with intense pulsed light in the treatment of rosacea with upper heat and lower cold is better than that of Banxia Xiexin Decoction alone.3.Safety evaluation: One Patient in the treatment group had slight facial swelling.The patient was ordered to strictly prevent the sun and apply medical mask.After that,the symptoms were improved.Patients without adverse reactions in control group.The two groups had relatively no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion :1.Banxia Xiexin Decoction combined with intense pulsed light can significantly improve the subjective symptoms,skin lesions and the quality of life of patients with rosacea of upper heat and lower cold type;2.Banxia Xiexin Decoction combined with intense pulsed light therapy is a safe and effective treatment for rosacea of upper heat and lower cold type.
