Objective:The present clinical research compares the effectiveness of “Tong Jing Tiao Xing”Manual Therapy and modern rehabilitation technique in patients with different Brunnstrom stages of ischemic stroke and spastic paraplegia. The study measures the medical therapeutic effect and promptness of “Tong Jing Tiao Xing” Manual Therapy among individuals with spastic paralysis after stroke under clinical research methods used in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Methods:The researchers collected the patients and clinical samples from the Neuromuscular Disorders center of the Number One Affiliated Hospital of the Changchun University of Chinese Medicine. The experimental and the control groups were 36 cases each, totaling 72 cases. Both groups received standard care.Simultaneously, the experimental group received“Tong Jing Tiao Xing” Manual Therapy. The control group received traditional rehabilitation techniques. The treatment period was four weeks.During the treatment period, the median frequency of surface electromyography, modified Ashworth Score,Fugl-Meyer scale, and modified Barthel score of the two groups were observed and evaluated before and after the treatment. At the end of treatment, the patients were grouped cross-sectionally again by Brunnstrom recovery stages. The data were analyzed using SPSS26.0 software to compare two groups’ efficacy and define the optimal rehabilitation intervention timing.Results:1 Before therapy, there was no statistically significant dissimilarity between the two groups of patients about age, duration of illness, gender, modified Ashworth score,FuglMeyer Scale, and Modified Barthel Index(p>0.05),indicating comparability.2 Comparison of surface electromyography median frequency(s EMG-MF)data: after four weeks of treatment, the median frequency of the target muscles increased in both groups.Comparison of the progress of the experimental group with that of the control group showed statistically significant differences(P < 0.05 for comparison between groups).3 The Modified Ashworth Scale score in spastic was compared, and the discrepancy was clinically significant at P < 0.05.This indicates that the spasticity of the affected limb was reduced in both groups and the improvement was greater in the experimental group. The results showed that the spasticity of the affected limb was reduced in both groups and the improvement was greater in the experimental group.4 Comparison of the scores of simplified Fugl-Meyer scale and modified Barthel index scale: The heterogeneity between the group was statistically significant before and after the experiment.(P<0.05).The result demonstrated that both groups were improved after treatment. There was sufficient sufficient evidence to show a better outcome related to physical function improvement about the physical function improvement. In the quality life domain, the results demonstrate favor on the control group.5 Clinical efficacy: After four weeks of therapy, the experimental group’s ratio of substantially efficient, effective, and ineffective was 14:13:7,with a total effective rate of79.4%;the control group’s ratio of efficient, ineffective was 20:14,with a total effective rate of 58.9%.The clinical performance of the two groups was examined to use a nonparametric test, and the variation was found to have significance at P=0.001<0.05.The difference was statistically significant.Conclusion:1 “Tong Jing Tiao Xing” Manual Therapy and modern rehabilitation therapy can reduce the degree of spasticity and improve their quality of life.2 “Tong Jing Tiao Xing” Manual Therapy can improve the spasticity of spastic hemiplegia after ischemic stroke and improve the mobility of the limbs, but it is not effective in improving self-care ability.3 In terms of the timing of rehabilitation intervention, the more patients receive rehabilitation training in the pre-BRS period, the better the rehabilitation effect.4 As an external treatment method of Chinese medicine,“Tong Jing Tiao Xing” Manual Therapy is non-invasive,simple,and effective, and should be further promoted and utilized. |
