| Objective:In order to promote the modernization and application of acupuncture theory, this study was based on blood oxygen level-dependent functional magnetic resonance imaging(Bold-f MRI)to study the brain effect mechanism induced by acupuncture at Xuanzhong point. The distribution of brain function activation areas of Xuanzhong and its non-acupoints under acupuncture was observed, and the correlation between the difference indexes of brain activation areas caused by the two and the clinical main diseases was analyzed;the low-frequency amplitudes of Xuanzhong points before and after acupuncture were compared(ALFF)index changes, and explore the central mechanism of the effect of acupuncture on acupoints.Method:According to the inclusion criteria,20 right-handed healthy volunteers were selected as subjects.Using a Philips 3.0T dual-source dual-gradient MRI scanner, the task-state image data of the subjects’ acupuncture at the right Xuanzhong point and the corresponding non-acupoints,as well as the resting-state f MRI data before and after acupuncture were collected.MATLAB 2017 a platform was used to run DPARSFA and xj View software packages to process the obtained image data, and SPM12 software was used to perform statistical analysis on the corresponding data to obtain the location of the activated brain area, the location of the activated brain area, the location of the activated brain area caused by acupuncture at Xuanzhong point,non-point and Xuanzhong point before and after acupuncture.Voxel value, activation degree, and resting-state ALFF index before and after acupuncture.Results:1.Acupuncture at Xuanzhong point causes positive activation of brain regions: right middle temporal gyrus, right superior temporal gyrus, right inferior temporal gyrus, right posterior central gyrus, right cerebellar peduncle, right parahippocampal gyrus, right Lateral middle occipital gyrus and right inferior frontal gyrus, left cerebellar peduncles, left posterior central gyrus, left precentral gyrus, left cerebellar peduncle;brain regions that caused negative activation were: right cingulate gyrus(P≤0.01).2.Acupuncture at Xuanzhong acupoint corresponding to non-acupoints caused positive activation of brain regions: right fusiform gyrus, right middle temporal gyrus, right lingual gyrus, right dorsolateral superior frontal gyrus, right superior occipital gyrus, right middle frontal gyrus gyrus, left fusiform gyrus, left olfactory cortex, left middle occipital gyrus, left putamen, left dorsolateral superior frontal gyrus, left precentral gyrus(P≤0.01);no statistically significant Negatively activate brain regions(P> 0.05).3.Compared with the resting state before acupuncture, the brain regions with increased ALFF in the resting state after acupuncture at Xuanzhong are:the right insula, right hippocampus, and right caudate nucleus;the brain regions with decreased ALFF are: Right posterior central gyrus, left superior marginal gyrus, left middle frontal gyrus, left precuneus(P≤0.01).Conclusion:1.Acupuncture at the right Xuanzhong point of healthy subjects has a higher correlation with the acupoint characteristics, efficacy and indications recorded in the acupuncture theory than the corresponding non-acupoints,which confirms the existence of the brain effect mechanism caused by acupuncture at Xuanzhong point.specificity.2.Acupuncture at the right side of Xuanzhong can activate the left and right brain regions of the brain, but the activation of brain regions is not completely symmetrical, indicating that the brain effect of acupuncture at acupoints is lateralized, suggesting that the distribution of meridians is interconnected Overall, the rationality of "opposing needling" and "contralateral needling" in acupuncture theory has been preliminarily verified through "visualization" of data.3.Compared with the resting state before acupuncture, the ALFF indexes in the resting state after acupuncture at Xuanzhong point changed significantly, and the ALFF indexes in the brain regions such as the hippocampus, precuneus, and caudate nucleus of the advanced nerve center changed significantly, indicating that acupuncture It can modulate memory, emotion, and motor functions, while suggesting the persistence of postacupuncture effect mechanisms. |
