Objective:To investigate the changes of aqueous humor vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and interleukin-1beta(IL-1β)、interleukin-6(IL-6)in patients with retinal vein occlusion(RVO)and their correlation with macular edema.Method:35 patients with RVO who were met the criteria for inclusion and exclusion were corrected from May 2021 to January 2022,diagnosed in the department of ophthalmology of our hospital, including 35 eyes, were set as an experimental group; At the same time,16 patients with simple idiopathic macular holes and cataracts diagnosed in our hospital, including 16 eyes, were set as the control group. All patients underwent relevant examinations before treatment, such as visual acuity, intraocular pressure and slit lamp examination, etc.,and RVO patients have optical coherence tomography(OCT)to measure the central macular thickness(CMT)before each treatment or the day after surgery. All patients were collected from aqueous humor 0.1ml before treatment, and aqueous humor levels of VEGF,IL-1β,and IL-6 were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Aqueous humor VEGF,inflammatory factors changes and their association with macular edema in patients with RVO were recorded and analyzed.Result:1.Comparison between experimental group and control group1)There was no significant difference in age, sex, eye type and intraocular pressure(P>0.05),but the hypertension in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).2)The anterior aqueous humor levels of VEGF,IL-1β and IL-6 in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.Correlation between Aqueous Humor VEGF and inflammatory factor levels and CMT in the experimental group and comparison among the three RVO-ME1)VEGF and IL-1β were positively associated with CMT in RVO-ME;IL-6 was not associated with CMT in RVO-ME.2)VEGF in the comparison between the three groups of RVO-ME,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),of which CRVO-ME > MBRVO-ME,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);Compared between the remaining two groups, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).There were no statistically significant differences between IL-1β and IL-6 in the three RVO-ME and in the comparison of the two(P>0.05).3.Correlation between aqueous humor VEGF and inflammatory factor levels and CMT in patients with recurrence in the experimental group and their comparison with pre-treatment1)VEGF,IL-1β and IL-6 levels were not correlated with CMT.2)The IL-1β and IL-6 levels were higher than before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);VEGF and CMT were lower than before treatment, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.The increase of VEGF and inflammatory factors in aqueous humor is involved in the occurrence of macular edema secondary to RVO,of which IL-1β and VEGF are associated with the degree of macular edema, especially VEGF is closely related to the degree of macular edema in the early stage of CRVO patients.2.Recurrent or persistent state of RVO macular edema, exacerbation or persistence of inflammation is one of the possible factors.
