| Objective:This study investigated the current situation of social support,organizational commitment and job burnout of ICU nurses in 43 hospitals above secondary level in southern Jiangxi;The effects of general demographic data on social support,organizational commitment and job burnout of ICU nurses were analyzed;To explore the correlation among social support,organizational commitment and job burnout of ICU nurses;To explore the role path of ICU nurses’ social support and organizational commitment on job burnout.Methods:From July to August 2021,1114 ICU nurses in secondary hospitals in Gannan were investigated by general demographic questionnaire,social support scale(SPSS),organizational commitment scale(OCQ)and Job Burnout Scale(MBI).Results:1.The total score of ICU nurses’ social support was(40.87±8.90),and the average score of items was(5.61±1.26);The total score of ICU nurses’ organizational commitment was(62.72±9.69),and the average score of items was(3.48±0.53);The total score of job burnout of ICU nurses was(41.77±21.63),and the average score of items was(1.89±0.98).2.There were significant differences in the scores of ICU nurses’ job burnout in six aspects: Department,hospital grade,marriage,monthly income,number of children and number of night shifts(P<0.05).3.The social support of ICU nurses was positively correlated with organizational commitment(r =0.368,P<0.01);The social support of ICU nurses was negatively correlated with job burnout(r =-0.467,P< 0.01);The organizational commitment of ICU nurses was positively correlated with job burnout(r =-0.411,P<0.01).ICU nurses’ social support,organizational commitment and job burnout were significantly correlated(P< 0.01).4.The regression results showed that subjective support,support utilization,emotional commitment,continuing commitment and normative commitment were the main influencing factors of job burnout after controlling for the confounding factors of department,hospital grade,marital status,monthly income,number of children,night shift and so on.Explained 57.6% of the variation in burnout5.ICU nurses’ organizational commitment has a partial mediating role in social support and job burnout.ICU nurses’ social support can indirectly and negatively predict job burnout through organizational commitment.The total indirect effect of ICU nurses’ organizational commitment is-0.809,accounting for 71.3% of the total effect.Conclusion:1.The social support of 1114 ICU nurses in hospitals above grade II in Gannan area is at a medium level,the organizational commitment is at a low level,and the phenomenon of job burnout is serious.2.In demographic variables,Department,hospital level,marriage,monthly income,number of children and number of night shifts have a certain impact on job burnout.3.ICU nurses’ social support,organizational commitment and job burnout were correlated with each other.4.Subjective support,support utilization,emotional commitment,continuance commitment and normative commitment were the main influencing factors of ICU nurses’ job burnout.5.Organizational commitment of ICU nurses plays a mediating role in social support and job burnout. |
