| Objective:The intention of this study was to assess the therapeutic effect and safety of Quyu Huatan decoction on 60 patients with H-type hypertension with turbid phlegm and blood stasis.Through the analysis of its Therapy outcome(including the changes of plasma homocysteine,RSBP,ABPM,TCM syndrome scores,blood cholesterol and blood flow change after therapy),Comparing the difference of curative effect between the western medicine conventional treatment group,and then evaluated.Methods:Sixty patients in Jiangxi university of traditional Chinese medicine affiliated hospital of traditional Chinese medicine for the junction of phlegm and blood stasis,H hypertensive patients by single blind,random number table method is divided into the therapy group(Western medicine routine treatment + phlegm and dispelling stasis soup)and control group(Western medicine routine treatment),30 cases in each group,two groups of patients for 8 weeks are given under the guidance of a healthy lifestyle.The changes of plasma homocysteine level(Hcy),resting blood pressure(RSBP),24-hour dynamic blood pressure monitoring(ABPM),blood lipid,whole blood viscosity(WBV)and TCM syndrome score were observed before and after therapy in 2 groups.The collected data were loaded into SPSS25.0 for data processing and statistical analysis.Results:1.Plasma homocysteine comparison: After the end of two therapy cycles,the plasma concentration of Hcy in both groups was distinctly lessen than that prior therapy(P < 0.01),The plasma concentration of Hcy decreased more in the therapy group than in the matched group(P < 0.05).2.Comparison of blood pressure efficacy: After the end of two therapy cycles,RSBP and AMBP showed a significant downward trend(P< 0.01),and the reduction in RSBP and AMBP in the herb combination group was greater than in the pure western medicine group(P < 0.05).The effective rate of hypotension in the treatment group(90%)was higher than that in the control group(76.67%)(P < 0.05).3.Four comparisons of blood lipid: After the end of two therapy cycles,TC,TG and LDL-C in 2 groups were notably decreased(P < 0.01),but HLD-C were not notably changed(P > 0.05).There were no obvious differences in blood lipid between 2 groups after treatment(P >0.05).The treatment group was not better than the control group in improving blood lipid(P > 0.05).4.Comparison of whole blood viscosity: After the end of two therapy cycles,HGQ,HDQ,GQXD,DQXD and other indicators in two groups were decreased compared with before treatment(P < 0.05).The decrease rate in treatment group was notably greater than that in control group(P < 0.05).5.Comparison of TCM syndrome scores: After the end of two therapy cycles,the clinical symptoms such as dizziness and headache were significantly alleviated in both groups,and the scores were declined compared with before therapy(P < 0.01).The reduction in single syndrome scores and total TCM syndrome scores in the was herb combination group upper than in the pure western medicine group(P <0.05).The effective rate of improvement of TCM syndrome in the therapy group was 93.33% and the effective in the matched group was70.00%,which was better than that in the matched group(P < 0.01).6.Safety comparison: During the surveillance period of this study,no obvious adverse reactions to drugs were observed,and no significant unusual fluctuations were found in blood counts and renal and hepatic function tests and other safety indexes.Conclusion:Compared with conventional western medicine therapy,the combined treatment of Quyu Huatan decoction has better efficacy in alleviating the clinical symptoms,lowering blood pressure,plasma Hcy level and whole blood viscosity of H-type hypertension patients,but has no obvious advantage in lipid metabolism.Quyu Huatan decoction is safe to take and effective in clinical application. |
