Objective:In this study, the treatment of knee osteoarthritis patients with liver and kidney deficiency was performed by using Sishen Decoction and isometric training of lower limb muscles, and the difference of clinical efficacy was observed before and after treatment,in order to provide reference for clinical treatment of knee osteoarthritis.Methods:1.A total of 70 patients with knee osteoarthritis with liver and kidney deficiency meeting the inclusion criteria were selected from the outpatient department and ward of Fuzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated to Fujian University of Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to January 2022,and the included patients were randomly divided into experimental group(n = 35)and control group(n = 35).2.The control group was treated with oral glucosamine sulfate. On the basis of the control group, the experimental group was treated with sishen decoction and isometric training of lower limb muscle. Both groups required necessary patient education and basic functional training during treatment.3.VAS score,WOMAC score,12-SCT score,TCM syndrome efficacy score and safety index results of patients in the two groups before treatment,1 week after treatment,2 weeks after treatment and 4 weeks after treatment were collected and statistically analyzed by SPSS23.0.Results:1.During the treatment,a total of 2 cases were lost, and 34 cases were completed in the experimental group and the control group respectively. There was no significant difference in age, gender, course of disease, disease condition,VAS score,WOMAC,12-SCT score before treatment between the two groups(P>0.05),indicating comparability.2.There were statistically significant differences in VAS scores between the experimental group and the control group before and after(P<0.05),as well as between the two groups(P<0.05).Both the experimental group and the control group were effective in improving pain in patients with knee osteoarthritis, and the experimental group was better than the control group.3.There was statistically significant difference in WOMAC score between the test group and the control group before and after(P<0.05).The intervention of the experimental group and the control group was effective in improving the comprehensive function of knee joint, and the therapeutic effect of the experimental group was better than the control group.4.There was statistically significant difference in 12-SCT score between the experimental group and the control group before and after(P<0.05).The intervention measures of the experimental group and the control group were effective in improving the degree of physical activity of knee joint, and the therapeutic effect of the experimental group was better than the control group.5.The apparent efficiency, effective rate and inefficiency of the experimental group were64.7%,26.5% and 8.8% respectively, and the total effective rate was 91.2%.In the control group, the apparent efficiency was 17.6%,the effective rate was 61.8%,the inefficiency was20.6%,and the total effective rate was 79.4%.The clinical efficacy of experimental group was better than that of control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).6.No significant abnormality was found in vital signs and blood samples of patients in both groups, and the safety of Sishen Decoction combined with isometric training of lower limb muscle was good. Conclusions:Both the experimental group and the control group were effective, but Sishen Decoction combined with isometric training of lower limb muscle has better efficacy in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis with liver and kidney deficiency, which can improve the clinical symptoms of patients, including reducing pain, improving knee function and enhancing the balance ability of lower limb, with small adverse reactions and good safety. |
