Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of Press Needle in treatment of non-traumatic atlanto-axial subluxation of children, and to provide reference for the application of press needle in the treatment of this disease. Methods:A total of 60 children with non-traumatic atlantoaxial subluxation who were meet the inclusion criteria and admitted to the orthopedics department of Zhangzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2021 to January 2022.They were randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group. The control group was treated with continuous occipito-jaw traction in the supine position, combined with children’s psychological care and functional exercise. The experimental group was given press needle on the basis of the control group. The children’s Wong-Baker pain score, cervical spine ROM were recorded and measured before treatment,on first course of treatment,2nd course of treatment, and 3rd course of treatment.Varianee of Bilateral Lateral Atlanto-Dental Space, and Atlantodental Interva were recorded and measured before treatment, and after the 3rd course of treatment. After 3rd course of treatment, the effect was evaluated according to the efficacy evaluation criteria.Evaluation and recurrence of children were analyszed three months after the end of treatment.Perform statistical analysis and draw conclusions.Results:1、There was no statistically significant difference in general information such as age, gender, and disease duration between the two groups of children(P>0.05).2、There was no significant difference in Wong-Baker pain score,Varianee of Bilateral Lateral Atlanto-Dental Space,Atlantodental Interval, and cervical spinal motion between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).3、Wong-Baker pain score:The Wong-Baker pain score in the test group, after first course of treatment,2nd course of treatment, and 3rd course of treatment, was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).4、Cervical spinal activity:The Cervical spinal activity in the test group,at 3 days,1week,and 2 weeks of treatment, was significantly higher in the test group than in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).5、Varianee of Bilateral Lateral Atlanto-Dental Space:Post-treatment: The Varianee of Bilateral Lateral Atlanto-Dental Space after treatment is lower than that before treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);Comparison between groups: the difference of Bilateral Lateral Atlanto-Dental Space in the experimental group was smaller than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).6、Atlantodental Interval:Post-treatment:The Atlantodental Interval after treatment is lower than that before treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Comparison between the group: The Atlantodental Interval after treatment in the two groups, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).7、The total effective rate of clinical effect in the test group was 93.10%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 90.00%.The effect of the experimental group was significantly better than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).8、Follow-up 3 months after the end of treatment,no recurrence was seen in the two groups of children, and there was no recurrence of discomfort such as torticollis, neck pain, and restricted mobility. Conclusions:The treatment of children with non-traumatic atlantoaxial subluxation by intradermal needle therapy combined with occipital-maxillary traction can effectively relieve the pain of children, improve the neck rotation range of motion and anatomical structure, and improve the effective rate of children to return to normal learning and life.It provides a diversified choice for clinical external treatment of this disease, and provides a reference for further study of children with non-traumatic atlantoaxial subluxation by external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine. |
