Clinical Observation Of Shiwei Dihuang Decoction On Vertigo Of Kidney Deficiency,Blood Stasis And Phlegm Stagnation Type

Objective:To observe and evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Shiwei Dihuang Decoction in treating vertigo of kidney deficiency,blood stasis and phlegm obstruction type.Methods:Seventy patients with vertigo of kidney deficiency,blood stasis and phlegm obstruction type who visited the Encephalopathy Clinic of Tai’an Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2020to December 2021were randomly divided into two groups.All patients were treated with betahistine hydrochloride.The control group(n=35)was treated with Ginkgo biloba extract tablets on the basis of drugs,while the test group(n=35)was treated with Shiwei Dihuang Yin.After 6 weeks of treatment,the changes of efficacy observation indicators were compared.The primary efficacy indicator was the efficacy of TCM after treatment,and the secondary indicators were the change of TCM single symptom score,vertigo disorder scale score,University of California Vertigo Questionnaire score and VAS score of vertigo symptom severity after treatment.The adverse reactions during the study were also statistically analyzed to evaluate the safety and feasibility of this prescription.Results:A total of 70 patients were studied in this study,69 patients(35 patients in the test group,34 patients in the control group,and 1 patient dropped out)were actually completed.Information was comparable between the two groups at enrollment(P>0.05).1)The effective rate of kidney deficiency and phlegm blocking syndrome was 97.28%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(82.35%)(P<0.01).2)the TCM single symptom score(dizziness,headache,insomnia,backache)was significantly different from the control group(P<0.05),and the(forgetfulness,apathy)was significantly different from the control group(P<0.01).3)the vertigo disorder scale score decreased in both groups compared with that at enrollment,and the degree of reduction in the test group was better than that in the control group after treatment(P<0.01).4)The scores of University of California Vertigo Questionnaire in both groups decreased compared with those at enrollment,and there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.01).5)the VAS score of vertigo symptom severity decreased in both groups compared with that at enrollment,and the VAS score in the test group was significantly different from that in the control group after treatment(P<0.01).6)There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05),the safety observation indicators did not fluctuate more than before,no major adverse events occurred,and the patients tolerated.Conclusion:Shiwei Dihuang Yin is more effective than Ginkgo biloba extract tablets in the treatment of vertigo of kidney deficiency,blood stasis and phlegm obstruction type,which can effectively improve the evaluation indicators of traditional Chinese medicine and vertigo scale,medication safety,efficacy guarantee.
