Study On The Identification And Treatment Of Yangming Syndrome Caused By Cold In Treatise On Cold Damage Diseases

Objective: To investigate the method of identifying and treating Yangming Syndrome caused by cold in Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases,including its disease cause,pathogenesis,characteristics of syndrome and sign,therapeutic principle and treatment,suitable formula,progress of disease,etc.To discuss the classification and subordination of Yangming Syndrome caused by cold in Yangming Syndrome.To differentiate and analyse it from other six-meridian diseases that have similar symptoms,in order to improve the understanding of Yangming Syndrome caused by cold and the theory can play a role in clinical treatment.Methods:(1)Theoretical analysis was performed by analyzing the original text of the Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases and citing the statements of doctors of all ages,in order to discuss the diagnostic criteria,characteristics of symptom,progress of the disease,treatment and suitable formula,etc.(2)The results of the study were analyzed and summarized with modern clinical reports to examine the conformity between the theory and clinical practice.Results:(1)Yangming Syndrome caused by cold belongs to Yangming Syndrome,which is consistent with the pathological evolution of heat and dryness in Yangming Syndrome,and it has the symptoms of "Stomach Excess" caused by the accumulation of excess in the stomach and intestines;(2)Yangming Syndrome caused by cold is based on the internal pathology of deficiency and cold in the stomach,and after the onset of infection,the tendency of transmission is the accumulation of tangible excess in the stomach and intestines,which can be accompanied by heat syndrome caused by external excess,and form the syndrome of mixed cold and heat.In general,it is characterized by the uncertainty and complexity brought by the dynamic evolution;(3)The treatment of Yangming Syndrome caused by cold should be divided into stages,and warming Yang and dispersing cold is the key to treatment,including warming the stomach and replenishing deficiency or warming Yang and clearing the internal organs,with reference to Xiao Ban Xia Tang,Li Zhong Wan,Wu Zhu Yu Tang,Da Huang Fu Zi Tang in the classic formula,which can be adapted to take into account the heat syndrome for different stages.Conclusion: Yangming Syndrome caused by cold suggests that Yangming Syndrome is not limited to heat syndrome and excess syndrome alone,but can form mixed symptoms of cold,heat,deficiency and excess after infecting pathogenic qi due to deficiency and cold in the stomach,which expands the understanding of Yangming Syndrome.Its special process of heat and dryness,the uncertainty and complexity of the dynamic evolution of the symptoms caused by deficiency and cold in the stomach make this disease still more controversial,thus making clinical diagnosis is more difficult.In modern clinical practice,diseases related to deficiency and cold in the stomach caused by poor living habits are also common,and the identification and management of Yangming Syndrome caused by cold provides ideas and methods for the treatment of such diseases.
