Objective:To understand the current status of emotional intelligence,perceived stress and quality of life in patients after breast cancer surgery,and to analyze the correlation between emotional intelligence,perceived stress and quality of life in patients after breast cancer surgery,so as to clarify the effect of emotional intelligence and perceived stress on quality of life in patients after breast cancer surgery,in order to provide a reference for improving the quality of life in patients after breast cancer surgery.Methods:In this study,a convenience sampling method was used to select 276 postoperative patients with breast cancer from 3 tertiary A hospitals in Jilin Province and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and 1 cancer specialized hospital in Jilin Province between January 2021 and August 2021 for investigation.The survey instruments included general data questionnaire,emotional intelligence scale,Chinese Perceived Stress Scale,The Mos 36-intem Short Form Health Survey.The data were statistically described and analyzed using SPSS26.0,and a value of P<0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results:(1)The total score of emotional intelligence of the study subjects was(104.17±19.93)points(full score:165),The highest scoring dimension was self emotion regulation(3.46 ± 0.60)points.The differences of emotional intelligence in different marital status,payment method of expense,monthly income per capital as well as disease duration were statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)The total score of perceived stress was(25.83±11.12)points(full score:56)points,and 76(27.5%),26(9.4%)patients had obvious and excessive perceived stress respectively.The highest scoring dimension was the tension dimension(15.13±5.96)points.The differences in perceived stress among different ages,place of residence,educational level,occupational status,marital status,payment method of expenses,monthly income per capital,and whether or not they were transferred were statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)The total score of QOL of the study subjects was(56.57±14.48)points(full score:100),and 176 patients(63.8%)had poor QOL.The highest scoring dimension was the somatic pain dimension(71.34±18.99)points.The differences in QOL by place of residence without cohabitation,educational level,occupational status,marital status,payment method of expenses,monthly income per capital,pathological stage,and whether or not they were transferred were statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)A positive correlation was found between emotional intelligence and quality of life in postoperative patients with breast cancer(r=0.377,P<0.05);Perceived stress was negatively correlated with QOL(r=-0.657,P<0.05);Emotional intelligence was negatively correlated with Perceived stress(r=-0.404,P<0.05).(5)whether it is shifted,monthly income per capital,emotional intelligence and perceived stress were the most predictive factors for QOL in breast cancer patients after surgery,collectively explaining 50.2% of the variability in QOL,of which perceived stress was the most predictive.Conclusion:(1)Emotional intelligence needs to be improved in patients after breast cancer surgery;Perceived stress is evident and excessive in more than one-third of patients after breast cancer surgery;The quality of life of patients after breast cancer surgery is at a poor level.(2)The higher the emotional intelligence level,the better the quality of life;The higher the level of perceived stress,the worse the quality of life.(3)The main influencing factors of QOL in breast cancer patients after surgery are metastasis or not,monthly income per capital,emotional intelligence and perceived stress. |
