Objective: Investigate the current situation of nurses’ emotional intelligence,job embeddedness and willingness to stay,explore the differences between different demographic factors in emotional intelligence,job embeddedness and willingness to stay,analyze the relationship between emotional intelligence,job embeddedness and willingness to stay,and provide a scientific basis for improving the retention of nursesMethods: Convenient sampling method was applied in this study.General demographic questionnaire,emotional intelligence Scale,Job embeddedness scale and retention intention scale were used from tongliao city tertiary hospitals different campus.The collected data were double-checked and input into Excel database.The statistical software AMOS24.0 was used for validity data analysis,and the statistical software SPSS25.0 was used for validity test,status analysis,difference analysis,correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis.Results: 1.The mean score of nurses’ emotional intelligence was(4.754±0.796),of which(5.118±0.937)was self-perception of emotion,(4.622±1.059)was emotion control,(4.725±0.968)was use of emotion and(4.549±0.981)was perception of emotion of others.gender,educational attainment,whether they worked in nursing management,average weekly night shift hours and their departments(P<0.05)2.The mean score for job-embedded entries was(3.464 ± 0.551),with a matching score of(3.647 ± 0.545);a links score of(3.577 ± 0.545);and a sacrifice score of(3.072 ± 0.773).The main influencing factors were: title,education,presence of children,whether they were in nursing management,their department and monthly income(P < 0.05).3.The average score of Intention to stay item was(3.635±0.643)0,and the influencing factors were children,fair title,monthly income,working years and department(P < 0.05).4.Pearson correlation analysis showed that all three dimensions of emotional intelligence,except emotional perception of others,showed a significant positive relationship with each of the job embedded dimensions and the willingness to stay in the job.5.The results of the multiple linear regression analysis showed that emotional intelligence,job embeddedness and the general demographic variables of monthly income and department were the main influences on nurses’ willingness to stay in their jobs,together explaining 31.9% of nurses’ willingness to stay in their jobs.Conclusion: 1.Nurses’ intention to stay in their jobs was at a moderate to high level.2.links,department,emotional perception of others,emotional perception of self,fit,and monthly income were found to be the main influencing factors in predicting nurse retention.3.nurses’ emotional intelligence and job embeddedness were at moderate to high levels and all had a positive effect on retention.It can provide a reference for nursing managers to develop retention strategies,as well as a reference to enhance the willingness of nurses in ethnic agglomerations to stay in their jobs.
