Clinical Observation On The Effect Of Repairing Eyelid Defect

Purpose:To investigate the clinical effect of eyelid defect repair.Methods:41 cases of 43 eyes with eyelid defects were all received by the same group of hospitalized in First Affiliated Hospital,Guangxi Medical University From August 2018 to March 2021,there were 17 males and 24 females.All eyelid defects patients were repaired with different tissues according to disease characteristics and degree of of the eyelid defect.41 cases of eyelid defects included 34 cases(35 eyes)with eyelid defects after tumor surgery,11 cases(12eyes)were repaired by direct suture,and 16 cases(16 eyes)were repaired by peripheral eye flap transplantation.2 cases(2 eyes)underwent eyelid pedicle flap transplantation,1 case(1 eye)underwent allogeneic sclera transplantation,4cases(4 eyes)underwent superficial temporal artery island flap transplantation;congenital 2 cases(3 eyes)with severe eyelid defect,of which 1 case(1 eye)underwent pedicled eyelid flap transplantation,1 case(2 eyes)underwent hard palate mucosal transplantation;5 cases(5 eyes)with post-traumatic(mechanical)eyelid defect,of which 2 cases(2 eyes)were repaired by direct suture,1 case(1eye)was repaired by peripheral eye flap transplantation,and 1 case(1 eye)was repaired by eyelid pedicle flap transplantation,1 case(1 eye)underwent repair of posterior ear flap transplantation.Observe the condition of the eyelid and cornea after transplantation,the survival of the skin flap after transplantation,and the complications after transplantation.Results: The 41 cases(43 eyes)of the eyelid defect repaired patients in this group were repaired in one stage,and all the transplanted flaps survived.The eyelid sutures were removed from 1 to 2 weeks after surgery.All cases with eyelid defect repaired had good eyelid shape after surgery.The position of the eyelid margin is basically normal and has the effect of protecting the eyeball;the appearance of the eyes and face is basically restored,and the appearance is acceptable;both have the eyelid blink function,and 8 cases have postoperative complications and congenital eyelid defects Postoperatively,1 case(peri-eye flap)had eyelid nasal insufficiency of less than 2mm and a slight drooping of the upper eyelid,and 1 case(hard palatal mucosa)had eyelid insufficiency of less than 2mm and mild eyelid ectropion;after trauma(mechanical)eyelid After the defect,1 case(eyelid pedicle flap)had eyelid closure less than 2mm,2 cases(direct suture)had mild eyelid ectropion,and 1 case had mild eyelid entropion(post-auricular flap);1 case after tumor operation One case had mild eyelid ectropion(superficial temporal artery island flap),and 1 case(periocular skin flap)had upper eyelid retraction,the eyelid incomplete closure was less than2 mm,and mild eyelid entropion.All patients with complications are basically acceptable after post-treatment.Conclusion:According to the characteristics of the patient’s disease and the degree of eyelid defect,a plan of tissue transplantation at different parts for repair,and the advantages of different parts of tissue transplantation are used.The effect of eyelid defect repairing was better.
