Objective:To explore the clinical study of the Erythrina decoction in carpal tunnel syndrome in the postoperative rehabilitation, and provide the theoretical foundation for clinical use.Methods:60 patients with carpal tunnel syndrome according to the principle of random were divided into the control group and the Erythrina decoction treatment group in the hospitalization sequence stochastically,30 examples each group. All patients were post-operation of median neuroly sis with a little incision in the rasceta, which with a drainage slice and the gypsum to hold fixedly 2 weeks. All patients took orally Mecobalamin and vitamin B1、vitamin B6,which one tablet each time(0.5 mg),3 times a day,2 weeks for a course of treatment. The patients of treatment group washed hands in a washbasin with the Erythrina decoction, which decocted in 4500mL water with slow fire about 25 minutes, each time for 20 minutes,2 times a day,2 weeks for a course of treatment. All patents were measured by function evaluation after 4 weeks、8 weeks and 12 weeks and taken a neural electrophysiology index test in the 12 weeks after operation and preoperative. All the data were analysed by SPSS 18.0 microsoft.Results:1.All the cases were followed up for 3~5 months,an average of 4.3 months.Postoperative incision healing of all patients reached I/A in 2 weeks,no case of infection, and all patients did not appear nervous and tendon injury.2.After 4 weeks, both two groups patents in subjective feeling and functional activity had no statistically difference(P>0.05).After 8 weeks and 12 weeks, the patents in treatment group were significantly better than the control group with statistically significant difference(P<0.05)in the two groups compared.3.The treatment group patents of postoperative 12 weeks in neural electrophysiology index test were significantly better than the control group with statistically significant difference(P<0.05)in the two groups compared. Conclusion:The therapeutic effect of Erythrina decoction on carpal tunnel syndrome in the post-operation is increased significantly in subjective feeling、functional activity and the neural electrophysiology index test.It is worthy to apply to the clinic.
