Canine dermatosis is one of the most common clinical diseases. The etiology of the disease is complex and the treatment period is long. There are problems such as incomplete treatment, recurrence of the disease, and difficulty in treatment due to irregular use of antibacterial drugs. Therefore,we investigated the main canine dermatological pathogens.According to the different pathogenic infections, the corresponding treatment protocols were designed and the treatment results were compared and analyzed. The aim is to provide scientific basis for the safe and effective treatment of canine dermatosis. In this study, clinical diagnosis and treatment and follow-up survey methods were used to investigate the main pathogens of 182 skin disease dogs collected from the outpatient department of Animal Hospital of Yunnan Agricultural University through clinical symptom observation and laboratory diagnosis. Then, for dermatosis caused by different pathogen infections, dogs with different pathogen infections were divided into Chinese medicine treatment group and western medicine treatment group. After treatment with different regimens, according to the clinical symptoms, the cure rate, significant efficiency, improvement rate, recurrence rate and other indicators of each group were counted, and the therapeutic effects of different regimens were comprehensively evaluated. The results were as follows:Fungal, bacterial and parasitic pathogens were the main causes of canine dermatoses.Fungal infections had the highest prevalence(31.32%),of which Microsporum canis had the highest detection rate(52.63%).This was followed by parasitic dermatoses(29.67%),with mange Sarcoptes scabiei and Demodicidae predominating.Bacterial dermatoses were dominated by Staphylococcus pseudintermedius(52.00%),followed by Staphylococcus aureus(20.00%).Mixed infectious dermatoses had a high rate of 41.38% of mixed fungal and parasitic infections. For dermatosis infected with Malassezia spp, after 7th day of treatment, the total effective rate of the Chinese medicine group was 25.00%,and that of the western medicine group was 12.50%.After 14 th day of treatment, the total effective rate was62.50% in the Chinese medicine group and 37.50% in the western medicine group. After 21 th day of treatment, the total effective rate was 75.00% in the Chinese medicine group and 62.50% in the western medicine group. There was no significant difference between the different groups(P>0.05).After 30 th day of treatment, the total effective rate was 100.00% in the Chinese medicine group, which was significantly higher than87.50% in the western medicine group(P<0.05).The recurrence rate was 12.50% in the western medicine group, and there was no recurrence in the Chinese medicine group. For dermatosis infected with Microspora canis, after 7th day of treatment, the total effective rate was 20.00% in the Chinese medicine group and 6.67% in the western medicine group. After 14 th day of treatment, the total effective rate was 66.67% in the Chinese medicine group, which was significantly higher than 26.67% in the western medicine group(P<0.05).After 21 th day of treatment, the total effective rate was 80.00%in the Chinese medicine group, which was significantly higher than 46.67% in the western medicine group(P<0.05).After 30 th day of treatment, the total effective rate was 100.00% in the Chinese medicine group and 86.67% in the western medicine group. The recurrence rate of the western medicine group(13.33%)was higher than that of the Chinese medicine group(6.67%).It showed that the therapeutic effect of compound Chinese medicine preparation was obviously better than that of western medicine for canine fungal infected dermatosis. For dermatosis infected with bacterial, after 7th day of treatment, the total effective rate of lincomycin group was 88.89%,which was significantly higher than 50.00% of ampicillin sodium group(P<0.05)and 25.00% of traditional Chinese medicine group(P<0.01).After 14 th day of treatment, the total effective rate of the lincomycin group was 100.00%,which was significantly higher than that of the Chinese medicine group62.50%(P<0.01),and the ampicillin sodium group was 87.50%.After 21 th day of treatment, the total effective rate of the lincomycin group was 100.00%,the ampicillin sodium group was 87.50%,and the Chinese medicine group was 87.50%.After 30 th day of treatment, the total effective rates of lincomycin group, ampicillin sodium group and traditional Chinese medicine group were 100.00%.The recurrence rate of the Chinese medicine group was 12.50%,and there was no recurrence in the lincomycin group and the ampicillin sodium group. It showed that the anti-infection treatment of western medicine was better than traditional Chinese medicine treatment for bacterial dermatosis. For dermatosis infected by mites, after 7th day of treatment, the total effective rate of the western medicine group was 18.18%,which was significantly higher than 8.70%of the Chinese medicine group(P<0.05).After 14 th day of treatment, the total effective rate was 68.18% in the western medicine group and 56.52% in the Chinese medicine group. After 21 th day of treatment, the total effective rate of the western medicine group was 90.19%,which was significantly higher than 65.22% of the Chinese medicine group(P<0.05).After 30 th day of treatment, the total effective rate of the western medicine group was 95.45%,which was significantly higher than 73.91% of the Chinese medicine group(P<0.05).The recurrence rate of Chinese medicine group(21.74%)was higher than that of western medicine group(13.64%).It was suggested that chemical deworming is more effective in the treatment of parasitic dermatosis. In summary, the pathogens of canine dermatosis are mainly fungi, bacteria and parasites. The incidence of fungal infection was the highest, with high incidence of Microspora canis, followed by parasitic infections such as Sarcoptes scabiei and Demodicidae.Chinese medicine treatment of fungal Infective dermatosis effect is remarkable, and not easy to relapse.Antibiotics and chemical repellents are more rapid and effective in the treatment of bacterial and parasitic infections.
