In this study,Hetian black chickens were used as experimental animals,To explore the effects of compound Chinese herbal medicines on growth performance, slaughter performance, immune properties and antioxidant properties of Hetian black chickens,The aim is to provide theoretical basis for the application of compound Chinese herbal medicine in poultry production. In this experiment,Select 350 pieces 35 days of age Hetian black chickens,Randomly divided into 5 groups, each group contained 70 chickens, each group have five duplicate groups,Each repeating group have 14 chickens,The experimental groups were the negative control group(Only feeding Based diet),the positive control group(Based diet+0.1% Aureomycin premix),the experimental group I(Based diet+0.1% Compound Chinese herbal medicine),the experimental group II(Based diet+0.5% Compound Chinese herbal medicine),and the experimental group III(Based diet+1% Compound Chinese herbal medicine). The pre-trial period of 7 days and the formal trial period of 70 days.Free feeding and free drinking,Vaccinate according to immunization procedure. The results of the study are as follows:(1)The average daily feed intake, average daily gain,feed-to-weight ratio, and survival rate of trial groups I,II,and III were not significantly different from those of the negative control group and the positive control group(P>0.05).(2)The Live weight,Dressed weigh,Dressed percentage,Percentage of half-eviscerated yield,Percentage of eviscerated yield,Percentage of breast muscle,Percentage of leg muscle,Percentage of abdominal fat of trial groups I,II and III were different from those in the negative control group and the positive control group Not significant(P>0.05).(3)The glutathione peroxidase activity of trial groups II and III was significantly higher than that of the negative control group and positive control group(P<0.05),and the superoxide dismutase activity of trial groups I and II was significantly higher than that of the negative control group,In the positive control group(P<0.05),the total antioxidant activity of trial groups I and III was significantly higher than that in the negative control group(P<0.05),and significantly higher than that in the positive control group(P<0.05).The malondialdehyde content of each group no significant difference(P > 0.05).(4)Newcastle disease ND antibody titers and infectious bronchitis IB antibody titers in trial groups I,II and III were significantly higher than those in the negative control group(P<0.05).(5)The spleen index and bursa index of trial groups I,II and III were significantly higher than those of the negative control group(P<0.05).The thymus index of trial groups II and III was significantly higher than that of the negative control group(P<0.05).(6)The contents of immunoglobulin A in trial groups I,II and III were significantly higher than those in the negative control group and the positive control group(P<0.01).The contents of immunoglobulin G in trial groups I,II and III were significantly higher than those in the negative control group(P<0.01).The contents of immunoglobulin M in trial groups I,II and III were significantly higher than those in the negative control group(P<0.01).In conclusion, adding compound Chinese herbal medicine into the diet can increase thymus index, spleen index and Bursa of Fabricius index of Hetian black chickens.Improve serum immunoglobulin G,M,A content, increase chicken Newcastle disease, infectious neobronchitis antibody level, increase serum SOD,T-AOC,GSH-PX activity,So as to improve the antioxidant properties and immune properties of Hetian black chicken. It is most suitable to add 0.5% compound Chinese herbal medicine.
