Bactrian camel is a major livestock resource in the desert and semi-desert areas of Inner Mongolia. It can adapt to and survive in the desert and desert steppe habitats, which is tall and with strong resistance. It can breed and live in areas where the living conditions are extremely harsh, which is related to its unique reproductive mechanism. But Bactrian camel with poor breeding performance and long generation interval,by the objective environment and management system and other factors, resulting in a sharp decline in numbers and has become a second-class protected species in China.Reproductive performance is the most important factor affecting industrial performance in Bactrian camel. The physiology of animals is quite complex and is influenced by several hormones, which directly regulate estrus, ovulation, germ cell in the reproductive tract, embryo implantation, pregnancy, childbirth, lactation and other reproductive behaviors.During the estrus cycle, the concentration of reproductive hormones in the plasma of the animals changed obviously, and the change of reproductive hormones directly affected the reproductive process such as estrus and ovulation of the female animals. Therefore, effective improvement of reproductive performance in Bactrian camel need to be solved by the camel industry immediately. In this study,12 humps of 8-12 year-old Gobi Red Camel(llama)were selected as the research object, and the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(Elisa)was used, the secretion of follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),luteinizing hormone(LH),estrogens(E2)and progestogen(PROG)in female camels during breeding and non-breeding seasons was studied. The estrus synchronization of female camel was treated with Gn RH + Gn RH,Gn RH + PGF2α and PMSG.By comparing the peak time and amount of several reproductive hormones, the best scheme of estrus synchronization was selected. The results are as follows:(1)In breeding and non-breeding seasons, the trend of secretion of FSH and LH in female camels was the same, showing a positive correlation. The secretion of LH was significantly higher than that of FSH(p < 0.05).(2)The secretion of E2 increased gradually from non-breeding season to breeding season, and there was significant difference between breeding season and non-breeding season(p < 0.05).Plasma PROG concentration in non-breeding season was significantly higher than that in breeding season(p < 0.05).(3)There was a positive correlation between E2 content and PROG content in both non-breeding season and breeding season.(4)LH peak and E2 peak appeared in 2-4 h and 2-8 h after estrus treatment with different exogenous reproductive hormones.(5)In the experiment of synchronous estrus of Bactrian camel,by comparing the peak time and secretion amount of several reproductive hormones, the effect of using exogenous hormone Gn RH + PGF2α was the best.
