| The purpose of this study was to study the effects of coated sodium butyrate(CSB)on production performance,intestinal microbime and reproductive endocrine of meat pigeons.240 parental pigeons and 240 1-day-old squabs in the same breeding cycle were randomly selected as the experimental pigeons.They were randomly divided into control group(group CON)and basal diet supplemented with 275,550and 1100 mg/kg CSB(groups CSB275,CSB550 and CSB1100),with 5 replicates in each group,12 rats in each replicate,7 days of pre-experiment,and 28 days experiment.According to the results of the test,the optimal addition amount is 550mg/kg CSB,and 120 parental pigeons in egg laying period,hatching period and rearing period are selected as the test pigeons.They were randomly divided into control group(CON group)and basal diet supplemented with 550mg/kg(CSB550).Each group had 5 repetitions in each period,12 in each repetition,7 days of pre-experiment and60 days experiment.The results showed that compared with the control group the weight and ADG of squabs in group CSB275 increased at the end of the experiment(P<0.05).The weight loss of parental pigeons in the rearing period was reduced in the experimental group,but the difference was not significant(P>0.05).The brood and slaughter rate of group CSB550 increased(P<0.05),and the slaughter rate of suckling pigeons in groups CSB550 and CSB1100 increased(P<0.05).The 28 day survival rate of pigeons in group CSB550 was increased(P<0.05).Compared with the control group the villus height of duodenum and ileum and the ratio of villus height to recess depth were increased in group CSB275(P<0.05).The ratio of villi height of duodenum,ileum and jejunum to recess depth in group CSB550 was increased(P<0.05),and the villi height of jejunum in the experimental group was increased(P<0.05).we found that the abundance of Firmicutes and Lactobacillus in the ileum of parental pigeons in group CSB550 was increased(P<0.05),the abundance of Proteobacteria in the ileum of parental pigeons in group CSB110 was higher than that in other groups(P<0.05),and the abundance of Aeriscardovia in the ileum of parental pigeons in group CSB275 was increased(P<0.05),However,the abundance of Veillonella in the ileal flora of pigeons in groups CSB550 and CSB1100 decreased(P<0.05).The abundance of Aeriscardovia in the ileum of squabs in group CSB1100 increased(P<0.05),but the abundance of Deinococcus-thermous in the ileum of squabs in groups CSB275 and CSB1100decreased(P<0.05),and the abundance of Enterococcus in the ileum of pigeons in groups CSB275,CSB550 and CSB100 decreased(P<0.05).Compared with the control group it was found that the content of E2in the serum of parental pigeons in group CSB550 decreased during hatching(P<0.05),while the content of FSH in the serum of parental pigeons in group CSB550 increased during laying and hatching(P<0.05).The number of antral follicles of pigeons in group CSB550 increased during laying and hatching(P<0.05).FSHβin hypothalamus of parental pigeons in group CSB550 during laying and feeding.The expression of LHβin pituitary and ovary was increased(P<0.05).The expression of pituitary PRL was increased during egg laying and feeding(P<0.05),the expression of PRLR in hypothalamus was increased during egg laying and feeding(P<0.05),and the expression of VIP in hypothalamus was increased during egg laying and hatching(P<0.05).In conclusion,adding 550mg/kg CSB to the parental pigeon diet can improve the production performance of parental pigeons and squabs,improve the intestinal tissue morphology and intestinal microbime,and is conducive to the reproductive axis endocrine of parental pigeons in the reproductive cycle. |
