With the acceleration of the socialist modernization process,the garden industry for skilled personnel demand increased.Landscape architecture major of secondary vocational school as the "base" of the transportation of basic skilled talents in landscape industry,its role can not be ignored.The Garden Plant Disease and Insect Pest Control is a core course for secondary vocational garden technology specialty with close combination of theory and practice,strong operability and wide range of comprehensive application.This course is mainly based on the job demand of landscape technology industry,and focuses on developing and cultivating the professional and social ability of landscape technology major students.According to the training objectives of the course,the traditional lecturing teaching mode can no longer meet the new requirements put forward by the current vocational education curriculum reform.In order to adapt to the current teaching reform,task-driven teaching method is introduced to this course,in order to improve the current learning status of students and improve the quality of teaching.Task-driven teaching method is a teaching method developed in constructivism theory,which enables students to acquire knowledge and achieve certain learning goals by completing specific tasks and adopting learning methods such as autonomous learning and cooperative learning in real teaching situations.In order to better combine task-driven teaching method with this course,it is necessary to read a lot of literature in the early stage.Therefore,by sorting out relevant literature,this study first sorted out the research progress of task-driven teaching method,summarized the current research status of taskdriven teaching method,as well as the implementation principles and steps of task-driven teaching method in the application level,and defined the relevant core concepts.Based on constructivism learning theory,Dewey pragmatism theory,Vygotsky’s zone of Proximal development theory,aiming at the current research object,design the implementation plan.Through the analysis of the course and the characteristics of students,digging into the content of the textbook,the steps of task-driven teaching method are described in detail.And combined with the actual teaching,according to the concrete implementation steps of task-driven teaching method,teaching design,including the design of task and teaching evaluation design.Present the implementation process of task-driven teaching method applied to the course of Garden Plant Pest Control.The effect was analyzed by classroom observation,questionnaire survey,student interview and teacher interview.Finally,according to the concrete practice,put forward the shortcomings and improvement suggestions.Research shows that the application of task-driven teaching method in the course of Garden Plant Disease and Insect Pest Control can make students master knowledge well,change passive learning into active learning,improve students’ interest in learning,activate the classroom atmosphere,enhance the ability of cooperation and communication between groups and personal professional practice ability.However,due to the limitations of multiple factors and individual research ability,this study still has some shortcomings.Through reflection and summary,it is expected to provide reference for subsequent researchers.
