Agricultural mechanization is an important support to realize the strategy of rural rejuvenation.Without agricultural mechanization, there will be no modernization of agricultural and rural areas and no national modernization. With the advancement of industrialization and urbanization,a large number of agricultural labor forces are transferred to non-agricultural industries. The phenomenon of farmers’ differentiation is becoming more obvious, and the agricultural division of labor is deepening constantly. The deepening of the two provides more market capacity for the development of socialized service of agricultural machinery, and promotes the prosperity and development of socialized service of agricultural machinery. At the same time, the long-term existence of small farmers also requires active development of agricultural machinery socialization services, and guides small farmers to organically link with modern agricultural development.Jiangxi Province,as one of the main grain producing areas in China, plays a vital role in safeguarding national food security, maintaining social stability and increasing farmers’ income. This master’s thesis combines relevant literature reading, and determines the research framework of this thesis by combing the behavior theory of farmers,"smith-young’s theorem" and the theory of institutional change. At the same time, combined with the review and analysis of the development history and current situation of rice mechanization service in Jiangxi Province, this paper attempts to discover the possible problems in the development of rice mechanization service in Jiangxi Province from the macro level.Using 1237 data obtained from field research in 10 counties of Jiangxi Province, through the construction of Probit model and Tobit model, empirical analysis of the impact of agricultural division and farmer differentiation on whether farmers use mechanized service behavior in rice production and harvesting, and What is the impact of the comprehensive mechanization service level on farming and harvesting?(1)In the process of cultivated land, agricultural division of labor(the number of outsourced agricultural production, the rate of rice commercialization),differentiation of farmers(proportion of non-agricultural employment, the small-scale farmers and large-scale farmers who differentiated rice planting areas),except the rate of rice commercialization, the remaining variables had a significant impact on farmers’ adoption of mechanization services;(2)In the harvesting process, the variables related to agricultural division and farmer differentiation have a significant impact on the use of mechanized services by farmers;(3)In the comprehensive mechanization service level of rice cultivation and harvesting, the relevant variables of agricultural division and farmer differentiation have a significant impact on the comprehensive mechanized service level.Based on the research results of this paper,in order to further promote the development of mechanization service of rice production in China, the following suggestions are put forward:First,we need to effectively promote the deepening of the division of labor in agriculture. At the same time,we need to properly handle the relationship between small farmers and large-scale farmers and properly guide the organic connection between small farmers and the development of modern agriculture.Second,we must accelerate the breakthrough of the key technologies of agricultural production, create a good environment for agricultural machinery services, and promote the development of agricultural modernization.
