Study On The Establishment Of Datalibrarian Positions Of University Libraries In China

Data librarians are people originating from the library community,trained and specialising in the curation,preservation and archiving of data.With the surge of data volume,university libraries gradually realized the value of data and the importance of data management,they began to manage it systematically.Therefore,university libraries will assist teachers,students and scientific researchers to deal with data problems in the future,so as to promote the development of the national scientific research construction system more effectively.Firstly,the article analyzes the job requirements of data librarians in Chinese universities from the perspectives of data environment,librarian roles and scientific research services;Secondly,it is concluded that there are problems such as the lack of public awareness and reference in universities,and the improvement of librarians' abilities slowly in the process of setting up the positions of data librarians through the investigation of university libraries in our country;Thirdly,it puts forward targeted suggestions individually for the setting of data librarians in our university libraries in view of the existing problems,including the methods of improving social awareness,strengthening policy guidance,and exploring flexible setting measures etc;Finally,it summarizes the specific situation of data librarian positions in our country's university libraries and looks forward to its future development.
