With the rapid development of technology,people have higher requirements for video image quality.As an indispensable function in the field of video image processing,the exploration of better and faster algorithms for de-interlacing technology has never stopped.In this paper,we propose a new de-interlacing algorithm by comparing various de-interlacing algorithms and integrating the advantages of each one,and implement it by FPGA.The algorithm is based on the traditional motion adaptive algorithm,which divides the points to be interpolated into stationary points and motion points,and thus takes different de-interlacing approaches.The main work of this paper is as follows.(1)A processing scheme is designed that enables the separation of the parity fields in the frame signal and the storage of the RGB signal separately,as well as the construction of a pixel reading and control block that can feed the pixels into the rear de-interlacing calculation module in the form of a block of cells for easy subsequent processing.(2)Incorporating multiple pixels before and after the point to be interpolated in a specific direction into the calculation,while introducing edge threshold and motion threshold parameters to adjust the interpolation results,and judging the nature of motion of the pixels to be interpolated by making differences between pixels,product of differences,weighted calculation,and motion judgment.(3)Referring to the determination of the optimal interpolation direction in the edge-related interpolation algorithm,the motion judgment groups in four directions around the point to be interpolated,0°?180°,45°?225,90°?270° and 135°?315°,are introduced,and the motion interpolation enable in each direction is calculated to determine the pixel to perform weighted interpolation,so as to achieve higher accuracy interpolation.
