Research On Language Strategies Of TV News Commentary Hosts ——The New Focus As An Example

TV news commentary program is a program form in which the host or commentator analyzes and evaluates news events or social phenomena.The host's language is very important in TV news commentary programs.It is the main way of expressing the program to deepen the theme,guide public opinion,and evaluate opinions.With the help of the relevant theories of linguistics and broadcasting,this paper uses the language of the hosts of the "New Focus","News 1+1","Magazine World" and other news commentary programs as the corpus.Research methods to explore the language strategies of TV news commentary presenters.This article has five parts.The first part is the introduction,it consists of the research background,research significance,research status,research methods,innovation and the introduction of the graduation work "New Observations of Current Events".The overview is the second part,it defines the concepts of language,language activities and language strategies of TV news commentary programs.The third part studies the language activity strategy of the host.The author divides the language activity structure of the host into three categories: topic proposal,topic series and topic ending.Through analysis,it is found that the host mostly used coming straight to the point,setting suspense,using words and quoting data to lead to the topic.In the topic series,the host uses to review content,refining topic and gradual series strategy.At the end of the topic,the host uses summary,suggestions and asking questions.The fourth part mainly analyzes the host's language comment strategy.The author analyzes the language comment strategy of the host from the three parts of intention determination,internal transformation and expression.In terms of intention determination,its main strategies are: resort to reason,expressing emotion;positive induction,persuasion and education;express conclusion,unclear conclusion.In terms of internal transformation and expression strategy,the author draws on the internal and external skill theories of sound language expression in broadcasting science,and analyzes the host's language comment strategy from the perspective of context,imagination,internal language,audience,stress,disconnection,tone and rhythm.The fifth part studies the disadvantages of TV news and commentary programs.Many hosts in the language expression,with a lack of norms,lack of changes and lack of personality defects,which requires the host to constantly enhance the overall awareness,respect the nature of program communication,improve personal culture and professional quality,to meet the standardization of language,language changes and language personalized requirements.With the help of linguistics and broadcasting theory,the language strategy of TV news commentary hosts can be studied,which can broaden the angle of language research of commentary hosts.At the same time,it can also provide a reference for the host in the way of language expression,thereby enhancing the effect of the host's language expression.
