With the development of wireless communication,as people can see,there are many problems such as the shortage of spectrum resources,environmental pollution,the limitation of application scenarios and low security.People has concerned about visible light wireless communication.The rise of the third generation of semiconductor materials provides an opportunity for this,and researchers all over the world have begun to study how to apply them in visible light wireless communication.With the emergence of the first GaN based blue LED,researchers saw the advantages of using GaN materials to make optoelectronic devices.Subsequently,GaN based photodetectors were successfully developed.The optoelectronic devices made of GaN materials have the advantages of low power consumption,high luminous efficiency,fast response speed and small size,as a result,they are also used in visible light wireless communication.This paper first analyzes the potential of GaN based photodiodes and photodetectors on Si substrate as the core device of visible light wireless communication.Then,it introduces the preparation process of GaN based photonic chip on Si-substrate and tests its basic performance,so as to analyzes a series of photoelectric properties such as photoelectric conversion and electro-optic conversion.Then,it analyzes the visible light communication system to introduce the research and introduction of the transmitter and receiver of the system.This paper analyzes the application of GaN-on-Si maretial in the visible light wireless communication system,and finally realizes the real visible light full duplex audio communication through the design of the visible light communication system circuit.The GaN-on-Si maretial of this paper is integrated with photodiodes and photodetectors to realize full duplex visible light communication.The reason why this function can be realized is that through the research on the luminescence spectrum and detection spectrum of the chip,it is found that there is a certain range of overlap between the luminescence spectrum and detection spectrum.Using this feature,full duplex communication can be realized,which is also one of the core innovations of this paper.Through the full duplex audio communication system,the full duplex communication ability of GaN based photonic chip on Si substrate is verified,which will contribute to the application and promotion of the third generation of semiconductor materials.
