The core point of this study is to analyze the audience aesthetics of short online videos based on the classical aesthetic theory and aesthetic thoughts of China,and then to study the creation elements of short virtual character videos.Short network video refers to the short video form transmitted by mobile social media in the Internet,which is another emerging information carrier after forums and blogs.In the era of rapid development of the Internet,it has become one of the main ways of information transmission.There is no specific standard for the length of short online videos in the industry,and different communication platforms have different definitions of length at the same time.However,"short time" and "easy to disseminate" are the consensus of the academia and the industry on short videos at present.Virtual character short videos are network short animation videos formed by the fusion of animation and short videos.The virtual characters can be traced back to classic cartoon images such as Mickey,Donald Duck,Doraemon,etc.,with the spread of short online videos gradually expanding,The types and number of virtual characters in the mobile network have gradually increased,and the audience has gradually expanded.In the short video platform,a variety of short videos show uneven production quality.Some short video content that meets the aesthetic needs of the audience has achieved commercial value smoothly,but some works that do not cater to the tastes of the public cannot,to achieve good social and commercial benefits.Therefore,accurately identifying the target audience and producing high-quality content are the key elements for the success of all online short videos.The article uses a combination of investigation method,literature method,case analysis method,data analysis method and practice method to sort out the types and characteristics of all short online videos including virtual character short videos,and then compare the classic aesthetic theories with actual cases.In combination,analyze the aesthetic needs of audiences for all current online short videos,and then take virtual role short videos as an example,from planning to later stage,discuss and summarize the creation methods of such short videos in the whole process,and analyze and sort out the creation points in depth.The research conclusions theoretically add new results to the research on the creation of short online videos,and at the same time provide creative references for related creators and practitioners in practice.
