Research On Observation Reality Show In China

With the development of the Internet,China's variety shows have developed rapidly and their influence has gradually increased.After the fast-paced variety shows such as music reality shows and competitive reality shows formed a large-scale trend in the market,the audience developed aesthetic fatigue and began to tend to the slow-tempo "slow variety" reality shows.Observation reality show came into being.However,as of the writing of this article,the academic community has not made a clear definition and summary of the observation reality show.This article attempts to define the observation reality show based on the synthesis of existing literature.The beginning of China's observation reality TV shows comes from the introduction of foreign programs.While drawing on the same foreign programs,it constantly adjusts and improves according to China's cultural background and public opinion,and explores a program model suitable for China's national conditions.This article analyzes China's observation reality shows from three aspects: character construction,narrative strategy,and audio-visual language presentation,and proposes countermeasures to the current problems in the development of China's observation reality shows.First of all,China's observing reality shows have a variety of choices in the construction of character roles.Both the observed and the observer have their own distinctive characteristics,representing a certain group of people,and the relationship between the roles has a common representative meaning.Secondly,in terms of narrative strategy,China's observation reality TV shows have a unique dual narrative structure,giving the audience a sense of freshness.At the same time,the story narrative and documentary narrative adopted by this type of program are different from other types of variety shows,and have their own unique characteristics,giving the audience a unique emotional experience.Observational reality shows in our country pay more attention to authenticity in the presentation of audio-visual language,and strive to convey the most real and natural state to the audience,improve the audience's sense of presence,and provide the audience with a variety of views for discussion,with the audience's emotional needs as the starting point to construct The artistic value of the show.At present,China's observation reality shows are still in the exploration stage,and there are still some problems that need to be resolved.For example,serious homogenization;excessive rendering of emotions leads to emotional distortion;the choice of characters and the nature of the performance makes the authenticity of the content questioned,and the starry private viewing ethics caused hot discussions.In order for China's observation reality TV shows to achieve healthy and long-term development,program production should re-examine the emotional narrative strategy to improve the quality of the audience's emotional experience,while enriching the agenda setting and digging into the value of the program.While recording the truth,program production should strictly abide by the "documentary" and "private" boundaries,and create a healthy and positive program atmosphere.
