In 2015,the government implemented the policy of merging schools on a large scale,resulted in a sharp decrease in the number of rural primary schools.As the schools were far away from home,many young students in remote areas are forced to choose boarding schools for their education.Boarding schools had limitations in management and relatively closed educational environment,which made the rural young students have serious problems of school adaptation in the process of boarding,and seriously affected the physical and mental health of rural young students.It was of practical significance for social workers to explore how to enhance the school adaptation ability of rural young age boarders.It can not only helped rural young age students better adapt to boarding schools,but also provided case reference and experience reference for other areas to run boarding education.This paper took the rural young boarders in D Primary School of Huishui County as the research object.Through a structured questionnaire survey of 100 rural young boarders in D Primary School and a face-to-face and in-depth interview of 8 rural young boarders,3 teachers and 2 dormitory administrators in D Primary School,this paper understood the current situation and needed of students' school adaptation.Based on the theory of social adaptation and the theory of social support,the paper analyzed the existing problems and influencing factors of school adaptation of rural young boarders in D Primary School.Under the guidance of social learning theory,social support theory and social adaptation theory,group work and case work were used to intervene the school adaptation problem of rural young boarders in D primary school.8 team members and 1 client were selected to carry out practical services.The whole practical process included six group activities and six case services.In the process of service,social workers abided by professional values and coded of ethics,used professional skills and methods to dig the potential of rural young age boarders,and cultivated their school adaptability.Finally,the service effectiveness of social workers' intervention in rural young boarders' school adaptation was tested through the combination of result evaluation and process evaluation.Finally,the service process was summarized and reflected,and the practice showed that it is feasible and effective to use "participatory" group work and "tailored" case work to improve the school adaptation ability of rural young boarders.The practical services of social workers can effectively alleviate the difficulties of school adaptation of rural low-age boarders,help rural low-age boarders master the basic skills of school adaptation,and explore ways to maintain the effectiveness of social work services for rural low-age boarders,so as to facilitate the long-term development of school adaptation of rural low-age boarders.
