With the rapid development of mobile Internet,the scale of Chinese netizens has been rapidly expanded.At the same time,the e-commerce and service industries relying on the Hulinwang platform have achieved unprecedented development,creating the rise of the platform economy.This series of backgrounds gave birth to professional groups such as couriers,takeaways,and online ride-hailing drivers.This professional group accompanied by the booming platform economy is called the "new blue collar." In the new environment,the new blue-collar group is facing problems such as low status,insufficient security,and weak stability.At present,it is important to pay attention to improving the group satisfaction and job identity of the new blue-collar group,as well as promoting the social integration of this group.issue.The positioning of the new blue-collar is the "Internet + blue-collar" group.The new blue-collar is not only an industrial worker and a floating population,but also a close contact with the economic product of the Internet platform and mobile media.Therefore,this article from the perspective of social media,based on social capital and urban integration theory,conducts a questionnaire survey of 104 new blue-collar people,conducts in-depth interviews with 15 couriers,takeaway riders,online ride-hailing drivers,and agent drivers to explore social The impact of media use on the acquisition and use of social capital of new blue-collar people,the main conclusions of the research are as follows:The new blue-collar group presents the characteristics of being younger and having a relatively balanced ratio of men and women with a high degree of education.At the same time its Social media preferences are mainly based on communication applications such as We Chat,while stranger dating applications are favored by this group.The intensity of the use of social media is relatively high.More than 60% of people use social media for more than 2 hours a day due to their professional characteristics.Through investigation and summary,the social media use of this group shows three characteristics: high closeness to work,strong social relationship homogeneity,and strong tool motivation.The survey found that the use of social media has a positive and negative impact on new blue-collar social capital.Combining previous research results,this article explores the impact of new blue-collar social media usage on social capital from four dimensions: network capital,trust capital,information capital,and emotional capital.The emergence of social media has not only shortened the space-time distance between people and made contact more convenient,but also more convenient information acquisition and sharing.At the same time,due to the technical limitations of social media and the lack of media literacy in the use of the new blue-collar,it has also caused a certain negative impact on the social capital accumulation of the new blue-collar.At the end of the article,suggestions are made,hoping to help new blue-collar workers to better integrate into the city and obtain better material and spiritual returns through the accumulation of social capital.
