BackgroundStroke is a common cerebrovascular disease in China, with high morbidity, disability and mortality, which not only seriously threatens the health of residents, but also brings heavy burden to the family and society. It is a fundamental strategy to reduce the burden of families, society and the country to actively promote the primary prevention of stroke in high-risk groups. Therefore, this study investigated the status quo of the health behavior ability of the elderly population at high risk of stroke in the community, and classified the high-risk population according to different dimensions of health behavior ability, and explored the characteristics and influencing factors of different types of health behavior ability,so as to provide a basis for effective primary prevention.ObjectiveTo investigate the status quo of the health behavior ability of the elderly population at high risk of stroke in the community, divide the elderly population at high risk of stroke into different categories according to the health behavior ability, explore the influencing factors, and provide a basis for preventive intervention targeting the health behavior ability of the elderly population at high risk of stroke in the community.Methods1.Research object A multi-stage stratified random sampling method was used to select 498 individuals at high risk of stroke from the elderly aged 60 years and above in a community of Xinxiang city using the preliminary screening table for stroke risk.2.Research methods(1)Questionnaire survey: The ability to acquire and use health information, motor function and health behavior self-efficacy of the elderly at high risk of stroke in community were investigated by daily health information literacy scale, motor function scale for the elderly and self-rating health behavior capacity scale.SPSS 22.0 was used for frequency, percentage, mean and one-way ANOVA analysis of the data.(2)Latent profile analysis: Mplus 7.4 was used to conduct a potential profile analysis of the scores of each dimension of health behavior ability in the elderly population at high risk of stroke in the community. The characteristics and influencing factors of different categories were analyzed.(3)Qualitative interview: Objective sampling method was adopted to conduct semi-structured in-depth interview with 21 elderly individuals at high risk of stroke in community with different types of health behavior ability(7 with low psychological comfort-low health responsibility,8 with medium health responsibility, and 6 with high psychological comfort-high health responsibility).Colaizzi analysis was used to analyze and summarize the data and extract the theme.Results1.Score and correlation analysis of each scale The scores of the daily health information literacy scale, the motor function scale and the self-assessment of health behavior ability of the elderly at high risk of stroke in the community were(30.37±6.69),(16.76±6.80)and(48.34±15.28).The score of motor function was negatively correlated with the score of healthy behavior ability(r =-0.316),the score of psychological well-being dimension(r =-0.105)and the score of motor dimension(r =-0.505)(P <0.01).2.The potential profile analysis of health behavior ability According to the four dimensions of health behavior ability, combined with model fitting indicators(AIC =13063.002,BIC = 13138.793,enterprise = 0.901)and classification accuracy,high-risk groups are divided into three categories: "low psychological well-being-low health responsibility"(n = 315,63.3%),"moderate health responsibility"(n = 140,28.1%)and "high psychological well-being-high health responsibility"(n = 43,8.6%).There were no significant differences in gender, age and residence among different groups(P > 0.05),but there were significant differences in educational level(P < 0.05).3.Influencing factor analysis of different categories of health behavior ability Semi-structured interviews were conducted with elderly stroke high-risk groups in different communities, and the following seven topics were identified: limited access to health knowledge, low level of social support, lack of medical related resources, limited economy available for self-management of health behaviors, limited exercise patterns, lack of time for autonomous activities, and good utilization of health-related resources.ConclusionsThe elderly stroke high-risk groups in the community can be divided into the following three categories: low psychological well-being-low health responsibility, medium health responsibility and high psychological well-being-high health responsibility.Education level and motor function are the factors that affect the elderly stroke high-risk groups with different health behavior ability. The characteristics and influencing factors of elderly stroke high-risk groups in communities with different health behavior ability categories are different.Targeted primary prevention and management measures can be implemented according to different categories.
