Background Nursing is an important part of medical care,and it is of great significance to promote the construction of healthy China and actively respond to the aging of population.But at present,the number of nurses in China is relatively insufficient and the distribution is uneven,which restricts the development of nursing career.Nursing students(nursing students for short)are the strong backing of the nursing team.The career choice of nursing students will have a great impact on the stability of the nursing team.Vocational maturity is very important for individual career choice.At present,vocational maturity of nursing students in China needs to be improved urgently.Some studies have suggested that the academic mood,career expectation and career maturity of nursing students have a certain impact,but the specific impact degree is not clear.This study will explore the predictive effect of academic mood and career expectation on vocational maturity of nursing students in this specialty,so as to provide reference for training high-quality nursing talents and expanding the team of nurses.Objectives To understand the current situation of academic emotion,career expectation and career maturity of nursing students in this specialty,analyze the influencing factors of career maturity,and discuss the degree of prediction of academic emotion and career expectation on career maturity,so as to provide reference basis for nursing educators to carry out accurate and personalized professional ideological education and employment guidance.Methods According to the convenience sampling method,1254 nursing students from three medical colleges and universities in Henan province were selected as research subjects.Using self-made General Data Questionnaire,General Academic Emotion Questionnaire(GAEQ),Career Expectation Inventory,Career Maturity Inventory(CMI)and other research tools,To investigate the current situation of academic mood,career expectation and career maturity of nursing students.SPSS24.0 software was used for statistical analysis of the data.Specific analysis methods included descriptive statistics,independent sample t test,one-way analysis of variance,Pearson correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis.Results 1.Vocational maturity status of nursing students The vocational maturity score of nursing students was(110.13±11.98),and the average score was(3.24±0.35).The vocational autonomy score was the highest(3.64±0.60),and the professional confidence score was the lowest(2.83±0.66).The score of professional nursing students in occupational value dimension(3.35±0.61)was higher than that of undergraduate nursing students(3.25±0.59),and the score of professional reference dimension(3.32±0.40)was lower than that of undergraduate nursing students(3.37±0.40),with statistical significance(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total score of vocational maturity and other dimensions of nursing students(P > 0.05).2.Single factor analysis of vocational maturity of nursing students The scores of vocational maturity of nursing students with relatives engaged in medical care,student cadres,nursing students with voluntary choice,senior nursing students were higher than those of nursing students with no relatives engaged in medical care,not student cadres,nursing students with involuntary choice,and junior nursing students,the difference was statistically significant(t=-5.631,-3.459,F=25.580,12.949;P<0.001).3.Correlation analysis of career maturity,academic mood and career expectation of nursing students Pearson correlation analysis showed that the total score and dimensions of career maturity were significantly positively correlated with positive low arousal and positive high arousal(r=0.196~0.639,P<0.01).The total score and dimensions of vocational maturity were significantly negatively correlated with negative high arousal and negative low arousal(r=-0.513-0.089,P<0.01).There was a significant positive correlation between career maturity and career expectation(r=0.254,P<0.01).There was a significant positive correlation between academic emotion and career expectation(r=0.237,P<0.01).4.Multiple linear regression analysis of vocational maturity of nursing students The results showed that nine factors including grade,whether a relative is engaged in medical care,whether a student cadre,reasons for choosing nursing major,external value,reputation and stability,negative high arousal,positive low arousal and positive high arousal were entered into the regression equation to jointly predict the variation rate of vocational maturity of 51.3%.(F=121.230,R2=0.518,adjusted R2=0.513).Conclusions 1.The overall vocational maturity of nursing students is good,Positive academic emotion promotes vocational maturity,while negative academic emotion hinders vocational maturity;The higher the career expectation,the higher the career maturity.2.Grade,whether relatives are engaged in medical care,whether students are cadres,reasons for choosing nursing major,external value,reputation and stability,negative high arousal,positive low arousal and positive high arousal are the influencing factors of nursing students’ career maturity.3.The value,reputation,status and stability of career expectation have positive predictive effect on career maturity.Positive low arousal and positive high arousal in academic emotions have positive predictive effect on vocational maturity,while negative high arousal has negative predictive effect on vocational maturity.It can improve the vocational maturity of nursing students and stabilize the nursing team by cultivating their positive academic emotions and professional values. |
