Background: Infertility is a state of failure to conceive after 12 months of participating actively in unprotected intercourse.The prevalence of infertility in India and the World is 16% and 12% respectively.Infertility can be held as the cause of several consequences including poor physical health,poor mental health,social problems like violence,inferior feeling,lowered self-esteem,etc.The predisposing factors of infertility can be divided broadly into male factor infertility,female factor infertility and both male and female factor infertility.This study has presented the demography,predisposing factors and consequences of infertility in detail.Purpose and Objectives: This study makes a comparative analysis between Intrauterine Insemination(IUI)and Non-IUI methods of infertility.As for Non-IUI methods,the study has considered proper counselling and Timed Intercourse(TI).This study made attempts to find out the efficiency of the IUI treatment among the patients of the mentioned clinic in terms of successful pregnancy and also analyzed the several parameters of the patients’ population in this clinic.Materials and Methods: The study is retrospective whose data has been collected from a clinic in India.Therefore,the study is limited to the scenario of infertility within this clinic.However,the findings of this study are comparable to the general population and provide a general idea about the overall status of infertility.The raw data of the patients were taken from the clinic have been arranged properly in a database.The study has considered 157 patients and the whole study population has been divided into 2 groups,namely,those who conceived at the end of the study and those who did not conceive.In several sections,the study also divided the patients’ population into 4 groups for the sake of the analysis,namely,Conceived group who was given IUI,Conceived group who was never given IUI,the Not conceived group who was given IUI and Not conceived group who was never given IUI.The method of infertility management in this clinic is described in detail along with relevant figures.For the statistical analysis,the chi-square test was employed in this study using SPSS 25 software.Results: The study has shown that the patients who conceived in this clinic,accounted for 51.59% of the total patients while 48.4% of the total patients did not conceive.The study found 68.15% of the total cases belonged to Primary infertility while 31.85% of the total cases were of Secondary infertility.Out of 157 total patients,78.98% of the total patients received IUI and among the patients who received IUI,58.8% patients successfully conceived.These patients account for 90.12% of the total conceived patients in this clinic.Conclusion: The study is based on a clinic in India.The study put forward that intrauterine insemination is efficient than the Non-IUI modalities(counselling and timed intercourse).This study has analyzed several patient’s parameters as well.The study had shown the population characteristics in this clinic in detail and how IUI affect each of them.Finally,the study concludes that intrauterine insemination is a feasible solution to infertility among the economic class of society.
