With the continuous improvement of medical level,more and more patients begin to pursue high quality treatment experience.In the process of modern treatment,we need to pay attention to the subjective feelings of patients.In traditional dental surgery,patients often have anxiety and fear because of pain.Under this negative emotion,the behavior decision ability of patients is greatly affected.Some patients delay or give up treatment because of fear.This can prolong the treatment cycle or fail to get treatment,thus failing to achieve the desired therapeutic effect.Based on virtual reality technology,this paper designs and develops an auxiliary burden reduction system for relieving patients’ negative emotions in dental surgery.It uses virtual reality technology to create a three-dimensional natural environment with immersion,and quickly transforms the patient’s vision from the operating room to a realistic and relaxed virtual world.It shields the patient’s visual and auditory perception during dental surgery,and distracts the patient’s attention.It relieves the pain in the operation,and eliminates fear.The content of the system consists of two subsystems: interactive game subsystem and interactive diffuse subsystem,which have five interactive content modules of different styles.The interactive game subsystem adopts virtual reality distraction therapy.The patient carries on the interactive game through the handle.In the interactive shooting and the interactive adventure two modules game scene,the patient experiences the fun with the interesting and the competitive game.The interactive diffuse subsystem uses virtual reality mindfulness therapy to help patients relax their body and mind through their instinctive affinity to nature.In the three modules of meditation roaming,free roaming and path roaming,the patient interacts with each other through the handle.They immerse in the natural scene of the seaside,island,forest meditation,and experience the charm and tranquility of the natural scene.The system design focuses on the subjective feeling and treatment experience of the patients,passive treatment to the state of active treatment,which is helpful to relieve the tension and resistance of the patients.It makes the treatment process more relaxed and pleasant,and it is easier to achieve the desired therapeutic effect.The system has been tested by the Clinical Test Center of Stomatology College of Guangzhou Medical University.The test effect is good.
