Objective:1.The reliability and validity of the simplified Chinese version of the role strain scale for women with diabetes were tested to apply to this study.2.To investigate the role strain, social support and diabetes distress in female diabetes patients, analyze the influencing factors of their diabetes distress.3.Explore the relationship between social support and role strain and diabetes distress in female diabetes patients from the perspective of mediating and moderating mechanism,so as to provide theoretical basis for relevant research. Methods: A total of 304 female patients with diabetes who were admitted to the diabetes center of a class A general hospital in Sichuan province from January 2021 to August 2021 were selected by convenience sampling method for questionnaire survey. The survey tools included the general data and disease-related data questionnaire,Role Strain in Women With Diabetes Scale(RSWD),Perceived Social Support Scale(PSSS)and Diabetes Distress Scale(DDS).SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 were used to test the reliability and validity of the Simplified Chinese version of the RSWD.SPSS23.0software was used for descriptive analysis,one-way ANOVA,t test,Pearson correlation analysis, and multiple stepwise regression equation was established. The mediating and moderating effects were tested by nonparametric percentile Bootstrap program with bias correction.5000 samples were repeated with test level α=0.05.Results: 1.The Cronbach’α coefficients of the simplified Chinese version of the RSWD and the two subscales were 0.883,0.801 and 0.788.A total of 2 factors and 6analysis items were extracted by EFA,and the interpretation rate of cumulative variance after rotation was 78.06%>50%.The results of CFA showed that the scale had good convergence and discriminant validity, and the revised model fit well.2.The average role strain of the 304 samples was 1.930 + 0.891,the average social support was 5.101 +1.111,and the average diabetes distress was 1.930 + 0.891.Multiple stepwise regression results showed that body mass index(BMI),fixed number of year of the diagnosis of diabetes,Hb A1 c,family residence, the average family income, family history of diabetes, character, role strain, social support for the prediction of diabetes distress factor, can explain 57.3% of changes in diabetes distress(F = 46.023,P = 0.000 < 0.01).The mediating effect test showed that 95%Boot CI included 0,indicating that the mediating effect was not significant. The moderating effect analysis showed that the interaction between role strain and social support was significant(t=-5.153,P=0.000<0.01),and the change of F value from model 2 to model 3 was significant(F=21.152,P =0.000<0.01).These results suggest that social support plays a moderating role in the relationship between role strain and diabetes distress. Conclusions: 1.The Chinese version of the RSWD consists of six items in two dimensions: role guilt and role conflict, with good reliability and validity, which can be used to measure the role strain status of women with diabetes in China.2.BMI,years of diagnosis of diabetes,Hb A1 c,family residence, average monthly income, family history of diabetes, personality, role strain and social support were the main factors leading to diabetes distress in female diabetes patients.3.Social support can buffer the effect of role strain on the diabetes distress of female diabetes patients.Medical staff can increase social support and provide targeted psychological guidance to relieve the diabetes distress of female diabetes patients caused by role strain.
