ObjectiveTo investigate the possible mechanism and treatment of anaphylactoid purpura through the detecting of the serum levels of vitamin B1,vitamin B2,vitamin B6,vitamin B12,folic acid and vitamin C in children with anaphylactoid purpura.MethodsA total of 28 children who were first diagnosed with anaphylactoid purpura and hospitalized in Shenyang Children’s Hospital from December 2020 to February 2022were enrolled into the case group.30 other healthy children being randomly selected were enrolled into the control group.The basic information of the 58 children,such as gender,age,and blood collection season(spring and summer from March to August,autumn and winter from September to February of the next year)were collected.5ml fasting venous blood was taken from the 58 children before taking medication on the day of admission or physical examination.The levels of the vitamin B1,vitamin B2,vitamin B6,vitamin C were determined by fluorescence polarization.Meanwhile,the levels of the folic acid and vitamin B12 were determined by immunoassay.The results of which including gender,age,blood collection season,the levels of vitamin B1,vitamin B2,vitamin B6,vitamin B12,folic acid and vitamin C,would be showed through SPSS23.0 software for conducting the statistical analysis.The(X±S)would be used if it conforms to the normal distribution with t or t’test.Whereas the M(P25,P75)would be used if it does not conform to the normal distribution with the nonparametric test.Theχ~2test would be used to the enumeration data.Logistic regression would be used to analyze the relations between vitamin B1,vitamin B2,vitamin B6,vitamin B12,folic acid,vitamin C and HSP.P<0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results1.There were 28 patients with HSP in the case group,including 18 males and 10females,with an average age of(86.14±29.22)months,among which the time admission of 7 cases were in spring and summer,21 cases in autumn andwinter.There were 30 healthy children in the control group,including 14 males and 16 females,with an average age of(74.33±16.17)months,among which the time physical examination of 12 cases were in spring and summer,18 cases in autumn and winter.There were no significant differences in gender(χ~2=1.818,P=0.178),age(t’=-1.886,P=0.066)and blood collection season(χ~2=1.479,P=0.224)between the two groups(P>0.05).2.Comparison of the serum levels of B vitamins and vitamin C were done between the case group and the control group with the results that the levels of folic acid(6.69±3.76 VS 10.88±2.82)ng/ml and vitamin C[0.85(0.60,3.49)VS6.15(4.63,8.45)]ug/ml were significantly different(folic acid t=4.832,P<0.001,vitamin C Z=-4.618,P<0.001).The case group were much lower than the control group,but the levels of vitamin B1(11.77±4.85 VS 11.39±2.45)nmol/L,vitamin B2[8.99(6.08,15.21)VS 11.45(9.42,13.58)]ug/L,vitamin B6[5.78(4.25,7.86)VS 6.80(4.88,12.43)]ng/ml,vitamin B12(494.26±213.84 VS 405.57±176.83)pg/ml were not significantly different(vitamin B1 t’=-0.496,P=0.622,vitamin B2 Z=-1.292,P=0.197,vitamin B6Z=-1.626,P=0.104,vitamin B12 t=-1.726,P=0.090).3.Correlation analyses of the serum levels of B vitamins,vitamin C and HSP were done with the results that folic acid and vitamin C had relations with HSP(folic acid OR=0.691,P<0.001,vitamin C OR=0.599,P<0.001),but vitamin B1,vitamin B2,vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 were not correlated with HSP(vitamin B1 OR=1.037,P=0.608,vitamin B2 OR=0.907,P=0.554,vitamin B6 OR=0.859,P=0.054,vitamin B12 OR=1.002,P=0.095).Conclusions1.The serum levels of folic acid and vitamin C in children with HSP were much lower than those in healthy children.2.Low levels of folic acid and vitamin C may be associated with the pathogenesis of HSP.
