Clinical Observation Of Taohong Siwu Decoction Combined With Patellar Claw In The Treatment Of Patellar Fracture

ObjectiveTo explore the clinical efficacy of Taohong Siwu decoction combined with patellar claw in the treatment of patellar fracture.The range of motion of knee joint,the degree of swelling of affected limb,the degree of limb pain and the score of HSS function of affected knee were observed before and after treatment in the control group and observation group,and evaluated scientifically and objectively by statistical method.It is expected that patients with patellar fracture can have a better clinical treatment effect under this treatment scheme,and provide a certain basis for the use of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of patellar fracture after operation,such as replenishing qi and activating blood,dispelling blood stasis,relieving swelling and pain,nourishing blood.and then can give full play to the unique advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of fracture diseases.MethodsSixty patients with patellar fracture treated in the Department of Orthopaedics of Xiangyang traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital affiliated to Hubei University of traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2020 to September 2021 were randomly divided into two groups with 30 cases each.The sex,age,body mass index（BMI）and other basic information of the patients were recorded at admission.The patients in both groups were treated with open reduction and steel wire ligation combined with patellar claw in the treatment of patellar fracture.the control group was given routine symptomatic treatment such as detumescence and analgesia,and the observation group was treated with Taohong Siwu decoction for 14 days on the basis of the control group.On the 1st,3rd,7th and 14 th day after operation,the range of motion（ROM）and the degree of knee swelling（specifically recording the most swollen knee minus the same place of the contralateral normal knee）were recorded in the two groups,and the degree of pain in the resting state of the two groups was recorded by visual analog score（VAS）.The knee joint function score （HSS）of the two groups was evaluated comprehensively on the3 rd,7th and 14 th day after operation.Then the data are compared and analyzed by statistical methods.ResultsThe two groups of patients successfully passed the surgical treatment,and there were no serious complications such as severe infection,shock and death after operation.1.There was no significant difference in age and body mass index（BMI）between the two groups by t test,and there was no significant difference between the two groups by chi-square test.2.Comparison of postoperative knee joint range of motion（ROM）,knee joint swelling and resting pain: the knee joint motion,swelling and pain in the observation group were better than those in the control group on the 3rd and 7th day after operation,but there was no significant difference on the 1st and 14 th day after operation.3.Comparison of postoperative knee joint function score（HSS）: there were significant differences between the two groups on the 3rd,7th and 14 th day after operation,and the observation group was better than the control group.ConclusionThrough the observation and analysis of the relevant indexes of the two groups before and after treatment,it can be found that the patellar claw treatment of patellar fracture combined with Taohong Siwu decoction can effectively improve the symptoms of early limb swelling and pain after operation.it has a certain significance in promoting the recovery of knee joint function in patients,and it is worth continuing to be applied and popularized in clinic.This study also reflects the uniqueness of the combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of fracture,and makes a modest contribution to the promotion of the application of traditional Chinese medicine in orthopedic diseases.
