The Utilization Of Oral Antidiabetic Drug Of 2017-2019 In Shandong Province

Objectives:To reorganize,analyze and summarize the application status and development trend of Oral Antidiabetic Drug of 2017-2019 in Shandong Province,so as to provide reference for hospital clinicians to optimize hypoglycemic programs,to provide ideas for pharmaceutical enterprises and manufacturers to formulate research and development direction,market promotion strategies,to provide data support for government departments to formulate policies for medical insurance,basic drugs selection and VBP,to organize enterprises and manufacturers negotiate price.Methods:75 representative large-scale public hospitals distributed in 5 regions and 16 cities in Shandong Province,including Northwestern Shandong,Central Shandong,Southern Shandong,Jiaowei and Denglai Area,were selected as the data sources.The names,cost,consumption amount and quantity of Oral Antidiabetic Drug from 2017 to 2019 were collected.Based on the consumption amount,quantity and DDD of Oral Antidiabetic Drug,the proportion of the consumption amount,the growth rate,DDDs,B/A and DDC were calculated.Results:The cost ranking of Oral Antidiabetic Drug.The amount of glycosidase inhibitors represented by Glucobay accounted for the largest share of Oral Antidiabetic Drug for three consecutive years from 2017 to 2019,reaching about 40%of the market.The amount of traditional insulin secretagogues,being on the market earlier and with many varieties,ranked in second,accounting for 20-30%of the market,and showing a downward trend year by year.The amount of metformin,with many manufacturers or brands,ranked in third,accounting for nearly 20%.The DPP4 inhibitors and SGLT2 inhibitors,named new Oral Antidiabetic Drug,were growing rapidly,increased nearly 10%each year.The amount of insulin sensitizers was much less and negligible.The regional characteristics of Oral Antidiabetic Drug.The Oral Antidiabetic Drug in Shandong Province has obvious regional concentration.The amount of Oral Antidiabetic Drug in Central Shandong and Jiaowei Area,represented as Jinan and Qingdao,accounts for nearly 80%of the total Oral Antidiabetic Drug in Shandong Province.A large number of large-scale general hospitals were located in the region with a strong radiation influence on the whole province.The effects of gathering patients were great and obvious.The amount of traditional insulin secretagogues in Northwestern Shandong was declined,and gradually replaced by DPP4 inhibitors.Because of more provincial and ministerial-level large-scale general hospitals located in Central Shandong,the amount of Oral Antidiabetic Drug accounts for more than 40%of Shandong Province,with sufficient competition in the application of various types of Oral Antidiabetic Drug,being a strong representative significance for the utilization in Shandong Province.The amount of traditional insulin secretagogues in Southern Shandong was relatively high,in which,the amount of NovoNorm ranked ahead,and Diamicron was on the top of the list but a downward trend existed year by year.The proportion of DPP4 inhibitors in Southern Shandong was relatively low,compared to other regions.The amount of DPP4 inhibitors used in Jiaowei Area was relatively high,and traditional insulin secretagogues promote declines rapidly.The proportion of glycosidase inhibitors in Denglai Area was relatively low compared to other areas,and the proportion of DPP4 inhibitors is relatively high.The market changing trend of Oral Antidiabetic Drug.The amount of Oral Antidiabetic Drug in Central Shandong accounts for more than 40%in Shandong Province.Enterprises and manufacturers concentrate advantageous resources and fully layout competition,which is highly representative of the utilization of Oral Antidiabetic Drug in Shandong Province.The amount of Glucobay,Glucophage,and Kaboping were always the top three in Oral Antidiabetic Drug.The amount of traditional insulin secretagogues remained basically stable.The amounts of NovoNorm and Tangshiping were decreased year by year,but the amounts of Amaryl and Diamicron were slightly increased.The amounts of DPP4 inhibitors and SGLT2 inhibitors,such as Onglyza,Januvia,Galvus,Forxiga,as New Oral Antidiabetic Drug,being in the top ten brands and slightly increased.The DDDs of Glucophage,Glucobay,Kaboping,Diamicron,Amaryl,and NovoNorm ranked the top six for three consecutive years,followed by Tangshiping,Januvia,Onglyza.Januvia and Onglyza present a competitive situation of one change and the other.Conclusions:On the whole,glycosidase inhibitors,metformin and insulin secretagogues were widely used through the regions of Shandong Province.The DDDs was high,and the DDC was moderate.The amount of New Oral Antidiabetic Drug DPP4 inhibitors and SGLT2 inhibitors were increased rapidly,more brands began to rank among the top ten DDDs.Metformin has high DDDs and low DDC,SGLT2 inhibitors,with the effext of reducing cardiovascular diseases,have the opportunity to become the basic drugs in the treatment of diabetes.The utilization of Oral Antidiabetic Drug in Shandong Province was reasonable and conformed to the recommended treatment scheme in clinical guidelines.
