ObjectiveTo evaluate the clinical efficacy of Jiawei Fuzheng suppressor decoction in the treatment of patients with deficiency of Qi and Yin after operation of stage Ⅲ colon cancer.MethodsFourty patients who have been included in the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Research Project(Clinical Efficacy of Modified Fuzheng Yiliu Decoction combined with XELOX Chemotherapy for the Treatment of Stage Ⅲ Colon Cancer Patients with Deficiency of Qi and Yin after Operation)were randomly divided into treatment groups and the control group,20 patients in each group.The control group was treated with XELOX chemotherapy alone without the intervention of traditional Chinese medicine decoction,and the treatment group was added to the decoction of Chinese medicine on the basis of the control group.Take two times a day for 10-14 days in a week.Before and after treatment were observed and recorded the change of blood routine,liver function,biochemical equivalent and quality of life score,KPS score,and adverse reaction evaluation record.Results1.The impact on the quality of life: the quality of life scores were compared.After treatment,the treatment group that took Chinese herbal decoction was lower than the control group in terms of their own health anxiety scores(P < 0.05).Life experience and other daily aspects scores were higher than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).In the KPS score,after treatment,the KPS score of the treatment group treated with the Chinese herbal decoction was higher than that of the control group,with significant differences(P< 0.05).The difference of KPS scores before and after treatment between the two groups was statistically significant(P< 0.05).2.Effects on chemotherapy toxicity: There were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of leukocyte,platelet,hemoglobin,transaminase,creatinine,bone marrow suppression,liver function,and renal function(P>0.05).In terms of nausea,vomiting and diarrhea in the digestive tract reaction,there was a significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P< 0.05).3.The influence of serum tumor markers: In terms of serum tumor markers CEA,CA199,and AFP,there was no significant difference between the treatment group and the control group(P>0.05).Differences between the groups before and after treatment were not significantly different(P>0.05).ConlusionThe routine use of XELOX regimen and adjuvant chemotherapy plus modified Fuzheng Yan Liu decoction reduce the side effects of chemotherapy patients and improve their quality of life,enrich the postoperative treatment of colon cancer patients,to a certain extent promote the integration of Chinese and Western medicine.
